Devoid of information
I can sadly not recommend this book at all. It's merely hot air and fluff, devoid of any information. Effectively, the book simply tells you that problems can be complex and that it helps to thoroughly understand the problem before trying to find a solution. You probably know that already and the book gives you nothing at all that would help you to practically become better at problem solving. System Thinking according to the book is trivially stating that there can be multiple actors, multiple connections, mutliple causes etc. etc. making something a system and that one shouldn't oversimplify a problem by not seeing the system aspect. The book is a waste of two hours of your life and a few dollars of your money. It's exemplary for the ever-increasing self-published category, written by self-declared experts on anything that clog your amazon search results and that sorely lack any kind of editorial quality control.

Not worth the money.
Poor writing. No actionable insights. Lots of quotes from other authors and definitions from Merriam Webster dictionary... I mean really? The details were very confusing. The attempt to connect systems thinking to relationships and why rich people stay rich is terrible. The Author could not even offer a definitive definition of systems thinking and its components. This definitely isn't worth the money.

Dissatisfying
I feel like the author didn't explain what systems thinking was very well. For this subject matter, you need diagrams. The latter chapters were very poorly written. He used a lot of anecdotes and didn't explain the process of systems thinking with those examples. He just said you should ask questions.I wish I would have read a more thorough book about this subject matter. I fell for the $10.99 reduced to $3.99 marketing trick.Waste of time.

Quick read, not much info, would not purchase (borrow if possible)
I was really looking forward to this book, but was disappointed. Very brief and short. Took around 2-3 hours of reading time and font and spacing was used to make it look longer than it really was.... felt like an elongated essay I could find on a blog. Although this was an introduction I felt like the way it discussed applications to be very broad. Would have much appreciated the way to map a system instead. Going to charity now.

Poor
Starts off okay introducing some of the key concepts of systems thinking. But overall it’s a pretty shallow book. It doesn’t really teach you much how to think in terms of systems, and the examples it provides are very poor. I’d go looking for a different book if you want to learn about systems thinking.

Good Introduction To Systems Thinking
This is a good introduction to systems thinking. Consider it a high level overview. However, the author does provide specific references to resources for those who want to learn more on the topic. The book has an emphasis on education based on the experiences of the author as a teacher. In fact, one could readily see this being a thesis written for an M.A.Ed. degree and subsequently re-purposed as a book. That's not bad, just a note on the writing style. And it's a positive for someone reading it that works in public or private education. The only issue I have with the book (and subtracting one star for it) is that the author's biases with respect to politics and education do seep into the book. Yes, we're all biased as humans. However, in this case it did detract from the points the author was trying to make about systems thinking. For example, the author equates cuts in educational funding to changing the primary purpose of schools as a place to learn. Yet there are plenty of studies out there that show there is very little correlation between the amount spent per capita on students and their academic performance. Clearly, there is something else at play in educational systems affecting performance that isn't triggered by the amount of money spent. As the son of a former school principal, I appreciate what the author has done here and hope that he continues on with research and writing. From what I've seen in this book, he seems to be one of those teachers who makes a difference. So, I do recommend the book for what it is...a great introduction to the topic.

Decent intro
The book gave a simple overview of systems thinking and a few examples of it in action. His definitions were spot on. However, there were few takeaways to apply practically, abd not enough real world examples of systems thinking in action.

There were a few good insights in there for me
The book provides a light touch to system thinking. There were a few good insights in there for me, but I felt this book could have been written in 10 pages and still had the same amount of takeaway material. With a title like "the art of...", I was hoping for more art.

Esse livro pelo menos me ajudou a me situar melhor no assunto.

Nothing substantial
I think the title is misleading. Author has described what a system is. He has briefly mentioned linear critical and lateral thinking. Is the book really needed ? If you read this review..and Google for systems thinking articles...you'll come across much more valuable information.2 stars because I learnt the word "systems" thinking. So easy these days to produce a book by referencing others work.

Do not buy unless you want to waste your money.
The best thing I could say about this book is that you might be able to learn about other sources to go to if you want to learn about systems thinking. There's no real information here, it's like the author read an overview on systems thinking and then summarized it, hammering everything out in one night. No one even bothered to proof read it, it's full of spelling and grammatical errors. Absolute garbage, waste of both time and money.

Altamente recomendable
Muy buen libro, la forma como el autor conceptualiza los sistemas en todo lo que hacemos es excelente, uno de estos conceptos me está ayudando a tener una mejor salud nunca lo hubiera imaginado
