Nothing fits like OEM....
I decided to go with Ford OEM air filter on a project car. I had no idea what had been done earlier (not much it was apparent) so I treated the Mazda B2500 with a new FOMOCO filter. Fit perfectly and the car seemed to idle better. I cleaned the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor while I was changing the filter so that may have had a positive impact as well. Nice filter.

A simple maintence item often overlooked
I don't drive more than 2000 miles a year with my 2006 Ranger and even though there's little maintence I overlooked the air filter for too many years. The cost is right, it's pretty easy to open up the air filter box and install after clearing out a few bugs and parts of leaves. No idea if I'll see a change in MPG as most of my driving is stop-and-go.
