adidas gathered some of the best graffiti artists in the world to work together on a totally original concept — a unique collection of footwear, apparel and accessories that takes artwork from the sketchbook to the streets: the End to End project. In the 1960s, teenagers began writing their names all over New York. They were soon writing nicknames and pseudonyms as they discovered the consequences of their actions. As outside spaces and subway carriages began to fill up with their markings, the writers' developed individual styles to make their artwork and names standout. Gradually the transit system became a travelling canvas for all to see. From these beginnings, graffiti now exists in pockets of culture all over the globe. The End to End project found writers with a genuine approach to their work; artists embedded in the subculture, with experience and creative talent. The seven chosen artists worked in a custom-built environment to create an exclusive range of products.
