The product features states that "all you need to do is remove the internal component from your old remote and put it in this case". This is partially true. You also need to remove the little piece of metal inside your original remote that allows the battery to contact all parts of the internal unit and reattach it to the new remote. The original remote shell for my 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport was broken. This shell was a perfect fit and it’s easy to transfer the chip.

This case came with the buttons, case, and rubber chip holder. The components don't appear to be made of a very tough plastic, but simply sufficient if not abused. It all fit my stock chip perfectly. The only problem is when my original cover broke, I lost the metal connector that allowed the chips positive receptor to contact the battery's positive terminal, and this kit does not include the connector. It would be nice if they would add that to the parts list for the remote as it is a removable part. I was able to make my own connector and it works just fine. All in all this is a great fix and I would recommend it to anyone needing to replace their remote case. I would have given this 5 stars if it had come with the connector.

I ordered this remote for a 2000 Galant. The part received was exactly what was pictured in the description. The original remote did not match the replacement. The battery was in a different location in the housing. I contacted the seller about finding the correct shell. They replied promptly that they did not carry other models for this shell and that they would process a full refund.While I am disappointed that the seller did not carry the part that I needed, I will purchase from this seller again.

the screw that they provided to keep it together was too long, the back cover was missing a metal piece to keep the battery in place, and the rubber piece that would cover the chip didn't properly fit. At least the cover, buttons, and back were the correct size.

Specific instructions are needed to transfer the "guts" and properly install in new fob. I put the battery in wrong and had to get help from a technician

perfect fit with the insides of my old remote. This remote key shell was very simple to change out. Works like a brand new remote now that it has been changed. If i had any complaint, it would be the fact that they don't have a key ring with it, and the hole for the key ring is a little smaller than most key rings. This makes it slightly awkward and stiff on your standard key ring. However, it serves its purpose very well, and works great.
