Hitachi W6V4 6.6 Amp Drywall Screwdriver

Cons: Cone doesn't adjust well, it has a "slip" between notches making it difficult to get dialed in so to speak, god forbid you need to adjust it. Longer than your average gun, kind of awkward if you are used to shorter more common guns, you do get used to it after a bit though. Its pretty loud, louder than all my other guns right out of the box. Some of the little rubber grips peeled off. Doesn't fit my hand well (although that's entirely subjective, grip is skinnier than dewalt.Pros: It can handle wood, light gauge and heavy gauge steel. Doesn't get too hot even with hours of constant use. 25' cord is a nice touch. Made in JAPAN (most other tools are made in China, even the Japanese ones!). Tough, has been used as a loaner for a commercial drywall crew for 6+ months, nuff' said. Very low price.

It's a fair price for the screw gun. I believe the depth setting on it could be improved (it is too loose and likes to change). However with applications screwing down plywood sheeting to metal I was impressed with its power. Drywall application it left me frusterated. It likes to kick screws and again the depth setting is difficult hard to keep where you want it

the only i dont like is that brushes don't last long.I have to replace them alot . I own about 6 of these screw guns .when i get one of these screw guns i get another set of brushes

This is used!?! Besides missing a box, this tool is in awesome condition. I've bought from recon tools and it's usually more than half the price and in near new condition always.

very weak clutch purchased 2 just to try them out lasted 2 days and the clutches gave out not worth buying

I bought this gun refurbished (reconditioned). It seems well made and it works well. The cord is quite long. It is fast as can be (haven't tried the 6k rpm versions, but this sinks 1 1/4 dwall screws almost instantly). I am not sure why the nose is so darn long, except that maybe it helps keep a decent angle in the corners. sinks #6 drywall screws without noticing. I tried driving some 3" deckmates just to see how the gun did, and while it can sink 'em no problem there is some slowdown. On the other hand it put 1 5/8 rock-on screws through durarock no problem. I'd give it a 5 if mine came with short and long nosepieces.
