Ollies Original Worlds Best Bar-B-Q Sauce, 32 Ounce Jar

I first began to eat at Ollie's in Birmingham in the early 1960's, and it was a warm, friendly place with excellent food. My dad and I would walk in and take a table, wave at a waitress across the crowded room, and she would bring our "usual" order. I watched Ollie carve meat behind the counter, and I met his family working the register. Those were strange times in Birmingham, but Ollie's was always a great place with excellent service and amazing BBQ pork.In later years I moved in California, and when my dad would visit he always brought a huge bag of Ollie's BBQ and a big bottle of sauce. I visited and ate at Ollie's in three locations over the years, and I would get on a plane right now and fly back to Birmingham (or Hoover) for one more meal there if I could.This sauce is a treasure from the past. I just have to learn how to prepare a pork dinner worthy of Ollie's BBQ sauce.

Ollie's is a welcome respite from the godawful, sugar & ketchup based glop sold now by almost all groceries. Thank god there is still a really good sauce for BBQ pork and ribs available commerically. It's in my top 3 with Dreamland and Sauers sauces.

I like Ollie's Bar-B-Q sauce. Kinda spicy, but not too much.I even add some hot sauce to mine.If you like "thick" sauce, this is Not for you.I actually pour it in a cup and dip my chicken/pork in it.May also be used for basting.Good Stuff!Delivery was prompt from the seller.Mike in Alabama

Ollie's BBQ original is my favorite old fashion sauce but the price from this supplier is 3 times more than you can get it elsewhere.

My husband likes this barbecue sauce. It is very runny and very vinegary, but good. It is mainly water (per the ingredients listing), which makes it low calorie compared with most other barbecue sauces.

Believe all the reviews that say it's too runny. It has a pretty good flavor, but is simply too watery to be considered a bbq sauce.

I was sooo happy to find out I could order this bbq sauce from Amazon! As a kid, I use to visit the restaurant that created this masterpiece every summer. It's my favorate bbq sause ever! It is a venegar based sauce, with a little heat to it. It's not thick, and just right for baisting food as it cooks on the grill. Although the restaurant has closed, I am very happy to know that I can still enjoy it as much as I ever did.
