Slightly expensive but for some reason all Command products seem to be.Follow the instructions.And clean your area with Isopropyl Alcohol.I used 70% and I let it dry for about 30min or so. Once you have peeled the first strip that will attach to the Clip itself press it with firm pressure for a good 30-40 seconds to bind it to the Clip.I went for 45 seconds The clips are small and after you have that first strip in place and peel the other side to attach to your wall be sure to know exactly where you are placing it and have the distances measured out.Hold it in place with pressure again a good 45seconds.These do not like it if you have to move them even slightly and will lose sticking power if you can even move them without starting over. I let them set overnight before I ran my Cables.I was very carefull sliding the cables gently into each clip.For the most part I ran 2 Cables of 12 gauge speaker wire into each Clip. I ran 30 Clips and after 2 weeks not one has broken or came loose. I do recommend these.. take your time don't be in a hurry.

I had a project in mind, knew I wanted a product like this, but needed the internal dimensions of the clip to decide which variety and size of cord clip to buy. Unfortunately, at the time, I didn't realize that the bottom of the product page for this item has a, "Customer Questions and Answers," box where one can ask such things as dimension of the Amazon community. I could have saved myself a lot of time by asking there. What I did instead was run to a slew of Brick&Mortar stores trying to eyeball the product. Yes, a slew, because none of the stores had this product even in a non-clear version. In the end, I realized that I could just order these from Amazon to eyeball them; the A-Z guarantee coupled with a Prime Membership provides virtual Kevlar in Amazonarenia (my term for the virtual arena of Amazon). The internal radius of the cylindrical clip part is exactly 1 cm. The cord I clipped was 0.6 cm and round in cross-section. These were a perfect match, meaning that the cord was just difficult enough to slide into the clip that nothing will make it slide out on it's own, yet manually easy enough to intentionally remove from the clip to be used for non-permanent or semi-permanent fixation. I don't think you could force a cord any fatter than 0.6 cm (6mm) through the opening to be held by this clip. However, a cord with a cross-sectional diameter less than 0.3 cm (3mm) probably will not stay in the clip. After two VERY bad experiences with a posh and well-regarded Home Theater Custom Installation Company, I decided to wire the whole thing myself when my A/V Receiver burned out (due to the SECOND improper installation by aforementioned service provider). I also decided to upgrade my 5.1 Surround to 7.2 (by adding a set of rear speakers and an additional subwoofer). Since the room is large and the speaker wires had to pass by other electronics, including a CPU, I decided that I needed wire that was rated for in wall and for long runs. I'm very happy that I chose this Monster XP-CI BIG-100 100 feet Speaker Cable , which is circular (not oval) in cross-section and 6mm, by my trusty ruler (calipers would've been more accurate, but I'm a doctor not an A/V guy). I couldn't use the standard staple gun for the installation because the wire had to pass long runs of glass (mirrors) and metal (radiators). So, I decided on the clear command clips. They worked like a dream for my purpose. One note regarding the clear adhesive strips. I wasn't that proficient at applying them at first and I wasted a few of the adhesive strips. Each box of 10 clips comes with 12 adhesive strips (i.e. you can only waste 2). Not realizing that my skill would quickly improve, I thought I'd need more than 2 per 10 to waste and ordered these refill strips Command Small Refill Strips, White, 20-Strip by mistake instead of the exact replacement which was Command Small Refill Strips, Clear, 12-Strip, 6-Pack . No biggie. I was an idiot and got white strips instead of clear. I'm actually glad I made the mistake, though, because the white adhesive strips ARE BETTER than the clear ones. Ironically, the white ones adhere more quickly (shorter setting time before usage) and yet once cured, they are removed more easily and with less potential for damage. The trick with the clear strips is to let them cure before applying any force (putting anything in the clip) for LONGER THAN 1 HOUR. The manufacturer recommends 1 hour, but some of the early waste of adhesive strips was due to detachment when I tried to force the wire through the clip only 1 hour after applying the clip to the wall. I learned quickly, and let the clips cure for 3-6 hours subsequently with better results the longer I waited. Unfortunately, I tried to remove one of the adherent clips (meaning one that was stuck to the wall for many hours before its 1st use) and I wasn't careful enough. I pulled the tab at a very slight angle away from the wall, and it removed a small chip of paint with it - my fault not the product's. The white ones are easier to remove without accidentally pulling at an angle because they are spongy and thicker (like regular double-stick foam tape) so they start out a few mm from the wall. Hard to describe, but the clear stips are flatter (like double-stick Scotch Tape), and thus lie flatter on your wall. Unless you are VERY careful, it's difficult to pull absolutely against the wall. Tweezers might help there. Note : I believe that the speaker wire I ordered is 14 AWG, because it was recommended for runs of 50 feet or more. That would mean, I think, that each wire would be 1.62 mm in diameter; so how do I measure the wire at 6mm? Well, there are 2 wires (pos and neg)that are twisted (compacted and thus thicker), and each has its own plastic jacket, and there is a nylon(?) thread added to the mix as well as a heavy outer jacket. All of this stuff adds up to 6 mm. The 14 AWG also made sense when I had to strip the inner jackets off to apply these awesome banana clips, Monster QuickLock MKII Gold Banana Connectors For Easy Self Crimping Terminations - 2 pr , at the receiver-end, because the slot that fit this wire on my wire-stripper was labeled, "14." I could be wrong, though. After consulting several sources, including Monster's own website, I am still not 100% certain of the gauge of the wire I used. It works well for my longest run of about 68 feet from this receiver, Onkyo TX-NR809 THX Certified 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver (Black) , to these speakers, BOSE 301-V Stereo Loudspeakers (Pair) - Black , producing no detectable distortion.

Ordered a few packs for cable management under my desk. They are easy to add the sticky backing to and adhere to the surface. They hold wires and have not fallen yet. The only downside is the adhesive side for the clip isn't adhesive the whole length of the strip. The last quarter of the strip length has no adhesive and serves no purpose being there for holding on to the clip. The opposite side of the strip that adheres to what ever surface runs the full length.

I wanted cord clips to hold the plug-in charging cords for my Surface Go and for my phone. The cords always looked messy, draped over the handle of my desk drawer. I wasn't sure what size of cord slips to get, but these are exactly the right size. I have used Command stick-on hooks and clips for some time now, and they have never failed me. I don't have rubbing alcohol around the house, so I just make sure the surface is clean as can be. These cord clips went on just fine (wood desk). They don't let the cords slip through, but do allow enough give so that I can pull the cord up when I need it, and slip it back down beside the desk when it is not needed. Love it! Highly recommend.

Update #2: These clips are very very poor quality. I wish I could rate '0' stars. Since I installed them barely 2 months ago, 2 more of the hooks on 2 clips broke off. These clips and the rope lights have not been touched since I installed them, yet they broke. Very poor quality plastic. Waste of money and time! Update: Only a few hours after I wrote my first review, I attempted to make a small adjustment to the rope lights I hung on these clips. I barely opened the hook on the clip, and it broke off. I do NOT recommend these clips. POOR QUALITY. My first review: I used the clips to hold up strings of rope lights around smooth metal window frames, interior, no direct sunlight. I followed the directions exactly for surface prep and attaching. Outside weather was dry, and about 72 degrees. 4 of the adhesive clips didn't stick to the window frames at all. The adhesive strips felt sticky to the touch, but wouldn't stick. I put new adhesive strips on, and put them in the exact same locations - adhered fine this time (wasted 4 adhesive strips). 3 of the 'hooks' on the clips snapped off while I was inserting the rope lights. I didn't overstretch the hooks at all, but the plastic hooks were weak and snapped. Good idea for the design, but a disappointing. I expect better quality for the money, especially 3M products. I don't recommend these.

These clips work great! I have been a fan of command hooks for a while now so when I discovered the cord clips I got excited. I couldn’t stand the Ethernet cable that was snaked around my room to get to the other side and these clips gave me a much cleaner look to the room with no ugly cables standing out. The clips hold the cable in place well and really clean up the look of a cable going around a door frame. They work great on a flat smooth surface and hold tight as long as the surface is clean. I have yet to use them on a slightly texturized surface so I can’t share an opinion in that respect. But in the case of mounting them to baseboards and smooth trim, they do exactly what they say. I will definitely buy these again and would recommend them to anyone I know.

The ancestors to these clips, white clips with double-sticky foam tape attached, suffer from several shortcomings: the foam tape is fragile and ages poorly, the adhesive isn't all that great and gives way over time, and the white clips are fragile and quite visible. The white clips also don't accommodate large-diameter wires. Overall, those older style clips proved lacking. These 3M Command clips do not suffer from these shortcomings. Prior experience with 3M Command adhesive suggests that these clips will be there until they're no longer wanted. Pull the tab and the clips will come away cleanly. The supplied clear plastic clips are not nearly as visible as the older white ones and they accept larger-diameter cords. Time will tell if they're sturdier. However, these clips are for lead dress or cable management, for keeping wires in their place. You should not get these clips if you intend to put much of a load on them. Overall, I'm pretty happy with these handy clips and intend to keep them around. Yes, they cost more, but they're still cheap enough to prefer them over lesser products.

The fact that this can stick on any surface was the reason I chose this. I have used it to sort the wires of my modem. My Internet has been acting up lately for which I’ve had to reset the device multiple times resulting in pulling out and re arranging of the cables. Despite this, the glue remains in place firmly.

Love these clips Nice and thin and see through making them less noticeable for hanging my christmas lights and decorations. Seem to hold just as well as the older style of tabs. Very pleased with my purchase.

I will prefix this with the fact that I am using these in a garage to organize some cabling for LED lights I recently installed. Some of the clips are attached to melamine shelving, others are used to clip wires to a unfinished drywall ceiling. After a few weeks where the weather ranged from humid and hot, to below freezing (Fall in Canada), everything is still stuck tight so I am confident that they should stick and last, we will see how they hold up over the winter. If you are trying to judge the size of wire these can hold, I was able to clip in 3 light duty extension cord thickness wire into one clip. I loosely looped this wire between two clips three times. I would imagine they would also hold a more heavy duty power cord as well but just just a single wire. I haven't tried to release any of these clips so I can't speak to whether the command strip will remove cleanly from any of the surfaces, but I have used 3M command strips in the past without an issue so I am confident they will release when you actually want them to release.

Works good on my tile kitchen backsplash where I have my cellphone cord keeps it tucked nicely

I have a few cables (video, Ethernet, etc.) draped around my house and used these cord clips to help hold them up. In the past, I used the white ones, but I was excited to see a clear version so it would look neater on my non-white walls. Here are some things I think are most important: ◆ SIZE: These can comfortably hold a Cat 5e Ethernet cable (the reason I originally got them), plus maybe another very small cable if you need to (3.5mm audio? never tried). It can also hold one Monoprice Cat 6 Ethernet cable but with no room to spare. I couldn't quite fit in my coax/RG6 cable in, but that will depend on the wire gauge. A thick DVI cable was also too big for these, but it does fit in the medium size. ◆ STICKINESS: The white strips do stick more strongly than the clear ones. I've only noticed this when trying to run cables around corners, which I've solved by loosening up my turn radius a bit--something I probably should be doing for the sake of the cable, anyway. I don't think this will really matter for cord clips because I can't imagine someone using them for anything heavy enough to matter in the first place. In either case, you'll probably also want to follow their preparation instructions, including cleaning the area with alcohol first and allowing it to try, as well as having some "rest" time after installation before use to allow the adhesive to work better. ◆ REMOVAL: I've changed my mind about where I want my cables and how I want them organised a few times. I've always had the clear strips remove without damage as long as I follow the instructions. Crucially, you need to pull the non-adhesive tab on the strip straight down--very far down. As it stretches, the adhesive holding the strip to both the hook and the wall will loosen (so hold the hook with your other hand to avoid projectile hook injuries). You *cannot* just pull the strip off the wall normally. That's the only time when I've damaged my paint, and it's only when I accidentally pulled the hook and strip off the wall during a cable-routing accident, and that was long enough ago that I can't even remember if it was a white or clear strip (I suspect the white ones are more likely to cause damage in this situation). ◆ PRICE: These are hard for me to find locally, but on similar Command products, Amazon always seems to have the best price. Amazon also has a good price on the clear refill strips, which I can't even find locally. The hooks themselves are reusable. The pack comes with a couple extra strips, but since I've done a lot of rearranging, I've had to buy more. ◆ OTHER: With both these and the white hooks, I've had the tab that the "arm" of the hook is supposed to latch into break off. This prevents the hook from working as intended, but with larger cables the "arm" still holds the cable in enough that I can barely even notice. I've had this happen on a few hooks (total--I've gone through several packs of these) and can probably blame at least a couple of those on me pulling too hard trying to put too much in the hook. In general, I think these clips work well and are priced reasonably. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to organize cords or cables without doing anything permanent or wall-damaging.
