Works well. Easy to load. Cooks fast
Recommended. We've been using this daily for about 3 months now. It works fine and cooks 7 eggs in a batch. You have to be careful to exactly measure the water as a little change in water amount changes the egg hard/soft consistantly quite a bit. Just experiment until you get the hardness you want and then just do that every time. A bit of the raw egg does drip out of the eggs and onto the heat surface so there is some cleaning required. The surface is stainless steel so it is easy to clean but you do have to clean it. The other thing is getting the hang of poking the little pressure relief hole in the eggs. There is a little thumb tack like poker on the egg holder that you have use to poke a small hole in the pointy end before cooking. Obviously if you smash the egg down too hard it will crack the shell. Some store eggs have very thin shells so you will lose one ocassionally like that. Overall it works very well, is simple, takes up very little room and is easy to clean. Recommended.

We sure are eating a lot more eggs now!
Purchased Oct 20, 2019 -- I've been using since it arrived. Love this little egg cooker. It doesn't take up much space, and it's pretty easy to store. But, to be honest, I just leave it on the counter most of the time, because we use it weekly... 2-3 times a week, on average. I also have a nice OXO egg slicer (worth the price), and I'll often serve sliced boiled eggs as a side to dinner or lunch. We make a lot of egg salad too, and the slicer helps there as well. The buzzer is noticeable, but not as "scary" sounding as my previous egg cooker. Loud enough to be heard in another room, though. I never seem to have any distilled water, so I just use tap water in my cooker. After a couple of uses, there is a brown residue on the metal plate, but I just pour a little vinegar in there (unplugged!) while I'm peeling the eggs, and by the time I'm done, I can just wipe off the vinegar and stains with a paper towel. I follow up with a clean, wet paper towel just to be sure there's no vinegar left. I especially like the built-in egg-piercing pin, and its location. Very handy. Once in a while, I manage to get a hairline crack on the egg, but I go ahead and cook it anyway. A couple of times, I've had the egg white leak from the crack, but it was just as well-cooked as the rest of the egg, so no loss there. If it had been more than a hairline crack, then I probably would have saved it for later use in a recipe or for scrambled eggs. The eggs peel very easily. I can often get the shell off in two pieces, but as long as it's effortless, I'm happy. This is, by far, the easiest (and best) way I've ever had to cook boiled eggs. My Instant Pot isn't even this easy. It's a keeper.

Does the job fine
The product does its job well. It takes about 50% longer to cook the eggs as compared to a microwave egg cooker but I feel the eggs get done better in this one and break less often. Pros 1. Easy to use. 2. Cooks eggs fine. Cons 1. After every use, the heating plate gets some black residue that has to be cleaned periodically (not a deal breaker). 2. Don't care for the egg poking pin. It is very sharp and the same color as the rest of the disk so very difficult to see. Anybody who does not know about the pin will definitely poke themselves in no time while washing or using the appliance. I cut out the pin from the disk so that I don't have to worry about anybody getting hurt and the eggs still turn out fine (they rarely crack open while cooking). Overall I like the product and I use it every day.

A great way to make pouched and hard eggs in minutes.
I just bought Mueller Egg cooker. I used to make my pouched eggs boiling my eggs and stand by them till I feel they were ready. It was a hit and miss job, sometimes they were perfect and sometimes not. But using this egg cooker is very simple and I made my eggs perfectly with the first try. It is simple and easy to operate and clean and make perfect pouch eggs as well as hard boiled eggs. You can cook one egg or up to seven eggs with no problem. It is also so compact that you can store it anywhere. I love it.

Fair egg cooker
First time Iโve used one of these. I bought it thinking it would be quick and easy. The process of poking a whole in the egg took me a couple of tries -broke a few eggs by accident. Once I mastered that, it was fairly easy. Iโm disappointed with the hot plate after the eggs have been cooked. It burns on one side for some reason. I think itโs a cool idea and Iโll still use it but not sure about the quality. Perhaps I should have paid more for a better product.

Excellent purchase
This egg cooker works perfectly and I am very pleased with this purchase. One does need to follow the instructions as the amount of water used in the measuring cup is crucial to the doneness of the number of eggs being cooked. I was looking for a simple egg cooker that does not also make omelets or poached eggs. My old (defunct) egg cooker had this ability, but I never did use it. This new egg cooker fits the bill! It is easy to use, easy to clean, the eggs come out perfectly cooked and the process is fast.

Should've bought this years ago
Great product, makes my eggs exactly the way I want it every time (medium boiled). It takes about 13 mins to achieve a med boiled - and you should plan to be near the cooker because the timer is not very loud. Some reviewers complained about it rusting, but you need to clean it immediately. Don't let it sit (why would you let it sit anyway)?? I simply add one part vinegar to three parts water. Let is soak for about 30 minutes. Dry it immediately. You do have to spend just a few more minutes to clean the item correctly so that it lasts.

Poor Quality
The online description emphasized a German name and Austria. Presumably if the krauts were involved it would be great quality. When it arrived Made in China seemed to be a big factor. Fit and finish are not the best. The metal bottom surface that holds the water has lots of ripples. The plastic egg holder has lots of little sharp points; not a quality job of injection molding. The handle has the shape of an egg with the top half attached to the lid and the lower half to the egg holder. When cooking it is prudent to not put the two halves together so one can cleanly pick up just the lid. The measuring cup is a conical cup with hard to see gradations. The minuscule differences between volumes of water for different numbers of eggs is a challenge to measure. Fortunately I have a laboratory squeeze bottle. Tried it with 2 eggs and water amount for soft boiled. Buzzer went off. Still water on the heating surface. Apparently the surface is not heated evenly. Eggs unevenly done with some egg white still clear and liquid. A better tool for measuring water would be a graduated cylinder. However, given the water remaining when the buzzer goes off, that may have made no difference. The problems other units have had with switches was circumvented by having none. Plug it in when loaded and unplug it when done. The 144 reviews that were all 5-star was a bit suspicious. After seeing and using it, they are more suspicious. This one is going back.
