Ustinov's Poirot
Ustinov isn't my first choice as Poirot, but he is very entertaining in the part of Poirot, which is partly why I purchased this harder to get dvd set. The three tv movie adaptions included in the set are based off of the U.S. versions of the Christie books: "Thirteen at Dinner" ("Lord Edgeware Dies") : with appearance by David Suchet as Inspector Japp, long before his stint on Poirot. "Murder in Three Acts" ("Three Act Tragedy") - retold for a setting in Mexico instead of Cornwall, and using the killer's motive from the U.S. version, rather than the U.K. version's motive. It also features the character "Captain Hastings", completely replacing Mr. Satterthwaite from the novel. Also features Tony Curtis. "Dead Man's Folly" - is mostly close to the book, but once again features Captain Hastings (again not in the book), which unfortunately diminishes the importance of Jean Stapleton (as Ariadne Oliver). Also features Nichollete Sheridan (Knott's Landing). Overall, good nostalgia films with known tv and movie actors of the time, and family friendly-ish.

Entertaining
I enjoyed this version of Agatha Christie’s Evil Under the Sun. It was fairly faithful to the story but changed some things, consolidated some of the characters as film adaptations frequently do. The cast is wonderful and I particularly enjoyed Maggie Smith!

Just enjoy the collection, all the episodes are excellent.
Sellers are great have had business with them before, always prompt products always in excellent shape. Would recommend them to anyone.

I think the standards overall are just lower on these three movies.
I am a very big Agatha Christie fan and I have enjoyed Peter Ustinov as Poirot in other movies based on her books. He was brilliant in Evil Under the Sun and Death on the Nile but these movies were just not up to those standards.

This is still, after all this time, still one of my favorite renditions of Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot.
