GeauxRobot Clear Enclosure Case Box for Arduino Mega

I bought two GeauxRobot cases for a pair of Arduino Unos a while back, and I am quite happy with them. So naturally when I bought a Mega 2560 I checked to see if a similar case was available for it, and to my pleasure it is.Assembly is straightforward but as others have noted, take your time removing the paper covering. Figure on a minute or two on the bigger pieces after you lift a corner, if you try to do it in just a few seconds you *will* have problems. The instructions point this out: "Peel slower, paper not torn, finish faster." Another tip mentioned by others is to screw the standoffs loosely to either the top or bottom plate before final assembly. That's much easier than trying to hold them in place while keeping the other parts all aligned as you try to thread the first screw.Anyway, great protection for the board while not getting in the way of shields and such.

This plastic case was easy to assemble and fit my Arduino Mega perfectly. Start assembly upside down, as another reviewer suggested, otherwise it will be impossible to insert the two middle plastic pins. My Mega is an Italian made unit - the 'official' unit. I also bought a 'knock-off' Mega which this case does not fit  Donop® Mega 2560 R3 for Arduino + USB Cable / Mega 2560 R3 Atmega2560-16au Board (Compatible with Arduino) includes Donop® black silicone wristband . You will see in the photos that I left the protective paper on the plastic - will remove later. The photos show the Mega in the case with an Adafruit GPS shield  Adafruit Ultimate GPS Logger Shield - Includes GPS Module  attached.

While it doesn't come with instructions, it's fun to put together. Like a little puzzle of sorts.A surprising feature is that the board itself does not screw to the unit itself at all. The case itself suspends the board, and it is held in place by a tab that puts just enough pressure on the center of the board to keep it firmly in place.The reset button functionality is preserved by a small acrylic button that sits between the case and the rest button.All-in-all, it's quite a clever design and I'm very happy with it.Bonus: The acrylic comes with the protective covering, so if you're one of those people who like to peel the plastic off new electronics, you won't be disappointed.

all the parts were there and this case fit my new Keys Studio Mega just finei'm getting on in years so i use my watch repair kit with magnifying clip-ons and needle tweezers (helps strip the plex-paper)sturdy little enclosure - not as finished as the C4 Labs Uno case, but since C4 doesn't make one for the Mega, then i say:"That'll do pig, that'll do."

I ordered this using my Amazon Prime account on Feb-11-2016 and received it on Feb-13-2016. I love this enclosure. I had bought a similar one for the regular Arduino Uno and so I had some experience putting them together. I don't like taking the protective paper off but once you get beyond that part I find it to be fun (reminds me of LEGO blocks). Everything fit perfectly and I didn't even had to reference the included instructions. This enclosures will protect your board while handling and will also add support to the board for when plugging shields and/or other components. I would buy it again.

This thing was a joy to assemble. While it did take me a little while to get all of the paper backing off, the results were great. I was able to get my Sainsmart Mega clone to fit without any issues. The rubber feet and enclosure definitely give it some mass which helps me out a lot. Not to mention it won't go sliding around on the table anymore when one jumper wire gets tugged.

Make me a case for my Mega SDK and I will give you five stars.

I couldn't be happier with the fit and finish of this product. It is perfect, easy access to all ports and buttons, gives the board some weight and has rubber feet so it isn't sliding all over the place anymore. GREAT BUY!
