BuxtonHeiress Double Cardex Wallet

I ordered twice from the same vendor (Buy 2) and both times, the 2 card slots immediately above the ID slot were sliced open inside, so that a credit card would not fit properly inside. Probably a bad batch of wallets, but beware. Don't buy from "EGloves" either. I wrote them twice to find out if their Buxton double cardex wallet had the same problem. They never answered, insisting I tell them when I bought it from them. But I bought through "Buy 2", not "EGloves", I explained, and couldn't find the item id on the amazon screens. I explained that it wasn't purchased from them, and they wrote be back with the same unrelated response. I usually love the Buxton wallets, and you may find that the RFID safety feature may not increase the price, for certain vendors. The term "double cardex" in wallets means that they have double the credit card slots. The buxton wallets include a nice, large coin area which is outside the snap-closed area. The colors are nice. My favorite is deep blue.

Nice wallet but larger and heavier than I expected.

I used a Buxton tri-fold wallet for almost 8 years. It is still perfectly usable, but looks shabby. So I researched for days before I ordered this. Its leather is of good quality, and I expect it to last for as long as my old one.Now for use - I tend to carry a lot of cards, and a few bills and some coins.- Its coin section is secure, and closes with a metal ball clasp.- The wallet closes with a tab which can be fastened in one of two places depending upon the bulk of the contents. With all slots filled and a few coind, my wallet is about 1.25" thick!- There are two bill sections, of which the longer takes bills without folding.- Now for the cards. There are a whopping 15 slots.- 2 are horizontal, above the ID window. At this point of use, the slots are rather tight. But I'm very sure that being leather they will stretch as I use the cards. What I love is that these 2 slots on the left side are shallow, the cards are partly visible at the top, so I can pick the one I need at sight. In fact, it was the one reason I returned the HUALIN Women's Alligator Grain Wallet (black Leather) - because all slots were vertically positioned in the wallet, and deep.- Coming to the other 13 slots - the ones at the back are unfortunately vertical and deep - they could have been stitched at the bottom to keep the cards from disappearing inside. All cards essentially line up at the same level regardless of which slot they are in from front to back, making it necssary to dig into the last, and having to bend the cards in the front to identify them. This is the reason the product gets a 4-star rating.Overall, I happy with my purchase, because it is good quality, and because it suits my usage. I hope the designers at Buxton will make it possible to keep the vertical cards partly visible, and improve the functionality vastly.

I purchased this wallet as a gift and the recipient was very pleased with the greater number of slots for cards. I was concerned that some reviewers said the slots were too small but I didn't find that to be an issue. Cards in this wallet are stored vertically and not horizontally which also makes for easy access. Nice selection of wallet colors also.

I needed something to replace my old, worn out french purse wallet and looked for something as similar as possible in leather. This item looked good on the catalog, but it turned out to be not as nice as I expected given the price. The overall construction quality is not as fine as I was used to. This wallet is fairly large with a slightly complicated design. Problems are that the leather is very stiff and the coin purse is difficult to snap shut. I expect this new wallet needs to get worn in for quite a while , and I hope it becomes more comfortable to use over time.

Loved the size as i dont like large billfolds BUT it isnt as pictured!

I'm not sure why, but it was a struggle to find a wallet that had a change purse on it. The zipper pockets are awful for holding change! Anyway, I love the wallet, it has extra pockets for cards and holds cash.

Contrary to what is on the market these days, this is wallet is really made from very good leather. It will last for years. The extra cost was worth it.

Cute little wallet. After about 1 month, it is still pretty stiff though. I hope it loosen up as time goes by.

Size is just right with lots of pockets for credit cards. The leather is a bit hard but.i Guess this will make it more durable.

So disappointed, I have loved Buxton wallets for years but this one is no good. It is made too small. I can't fit any credit cards, drivers license, etc. in it because the "slots" are so small, in width and depth. You have to force them in and then you can't get them out! I will have to return. I sat it next to my old wallet and the size difference is very noticeable. What a waste of beautiful leather.

Best wallet I've ever owned. My first one lasted five years. I've since bought two more for my mother and myself. Plenty of room for all of my store cards and credit cards.
