Canadian Brass Book of Intermediate Tuba Solos Book/Online Audio

I hadn't been playing the tuba very long at the time i bought this book (for about a year) but i thought them on the simpler side, perhaps advanced beginner? Obviously, even the simplest scales can be used to improve, and these songs were definitely good songs, but i expected to be technically challenged more than i was.

I guess I'll never be a musician. It seems to me that a book of TUBA solos should have the TUBA part emphasized, not minimized to half the size of the unmentioned piano sheet music. This is a book of PIANO solos, with some tuba tacked on as an afterthought.
