Love the look but assembly is difficult. Definitely need to solder the wires and bulbs that come with it are very dim. Otherwise would have given 5 stars!

I hired a professional electrician to assemble this product because it was way too complicated. I told him the reviews on here said it was hard but worth it, and his reply was “Misery loves company.” He felt anyone who advocated for this light just wanted others to suffer. He not only had issues with assembly, he could not get both screws to connect to the decorative nuts that hold the light to the ceiling. He got one to hold and glued the second one on. He assured me the light would stay on the ceiling. I will take it as a sign to throw it in the trash if it falls off the ceiling. This company should sell this product assembled and also provide longer screws to anchor it to the ceiling. Also, the bulbs they send are a waste. A flashlight produces more light. I bought 40Watt LEDs, and it produces the light you would expect from a ceiling light.

The fixture looks nice. It’s mostly plastic not actually metal. And it actually has a little bit of a purple hue to it, not a true bronze color. It’s hard to see 99% of the time and on the ceiling looks more black than anything else.It was incredibly easy to put together but a little cumbersome to get the wires from the light attached to the wires from the ceiling. The twist connectors it gives you don’t hold very well and there’s not enough wire to mount the light partially to hold the weight. So I had to hold the light with one hand and connect the wires with the other which isn’t much of an issues most of the time except the main fixture is so close to the connection(because it’s semi flush mounted).All in all happy with my purchase. Would buy it again, but would have a second set of hands to help install it.

We wanted a light in our dining room that didn't block our beautiful view like a chandelier did. This is perfect. We used LED bulbs - 4 60 watt and 2 100 watt because we like to read at the table and also play table games. Installing was a nightmare because the screws aren't long enough to attach to the ceiling, ie, it really didn't set flush to the ceiling. Very heavy to install with just one person (my son). He had to stop and wait until the next day when he bought longer screws. Even those were a challenge to get attached because he had to hold all the weight with one arm while trying to get the screws screwed in securely. It's a beautiful light fixture and gives off the light we needed.2018-20 Just added the photo to show that we used 3 LED bulbs (60 watt) with less lumens and soft white which makes the shades look pale amber. We used 2 bright white bulbs (100 watts LED) and the shades look pinkish white. We really love the fixture and for looks give it 5 stars.

This is a beautiful light. I need a ceiling light that can accommodate migraines. This is perfect. I can look up at the light and no instant migraine. This will light up any room. It is unique and matches my new design in my dining room. It takes a little time to put up because assembly is required. Each arm is separate with their own wires. But it's straight forward. If you have a professional put it up it might cost you a little. And if you are an electrician, it's irritating. You can't just take it out and place it. My friend (electrician) put mine up and when I pulled it out, he said, "I don't like you anymore". And, you will need an extra wire. I'm considering buying another one for my kitchen. It's that nice.

I bought this after my 10 year old HEAVY light fixture broke its chain link and came crashing down on my Granite topped table ..And decided no more HEAVY light fixtures for me !ProS : Beautiful , light , Modern , and ads a bit of character to any room you put it in . I wanted something Unique for my dining room and this fixture does just that !Cons : My light came with a defective globe , but the seller took care of that . The wiring is a very light gauge , and the 2 screws that go from the plate to the fixture were a quarter inch to small for me to get it to work . A trip to Ace Hardware had me up and running for less than a dollar .Overall I would purchase this light again .. But its not for a beginner .. Watch the pictures on here and follow instructions and you should have no problem . !

This ceiling light was not difficult to assemble,but was time consuming. I appreciate that the instructions were clear enough. The instructions do tell you to connect black to black and white to white, but it isn't until later that brown and blue are mentioned which was frustrating. I took care to make sure that the wire nuts were secured well and lucked out that I got the blue/ brown wires correct. I got the light mounted and it worked. I guess that's what is most important.

i will admit, that this was a pain to install...HOWEVER i am 100% satisfied with my purchase. for the record this is the first time i've installed a light fixture and nailed it in one shot. tools you will need, side cutters, wire strippers, extra wire caps, and honestly just a drill with a flat head and phillips bit. everything else is included.
