Spalding Women's Ankle Legging

I have tried so many leggings and these are my favorite! They are fitted, but don’t have that spandex (painted on- see everything) type look. Very comfortable and light weight.

For reference, I always need the petite or short length in pants, unless I'm specifically only wearing those pants with heels. In jeans and dress pants I'm usually wearing a size 4 or 6 short/petite, with an inseam approx 29-30" depending on the brand. In leggings I'm typically comfortable wearing a size small.These Spalding ankle leggings fit me perfectly in size small. Because my legs are so short, I can tug them down to hit a bit lower on the ankle than where it shows in the product picture if I want to, but their natural fit when I pull them on is hitting exactly at my ankle bone. I was shocked because some of the reviews from taller ladies seem to indicate that these also fit their leg length.The waist band does not dig. I picked these leggings originally because it was the only pair I found in this price point with a wide, flat waistband. When I first received them, I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting the entire waistband, from the top of the legging to the seam, to be one solid elasticized piece. Instead, there is a 1/2" piece of elastic sewn in at the very top of that wide waistband. My experience in the past has been very disappointing with other inexpensive leggings that had the small elastic, but I have not had a pair that also had the wide waistband fabric piece like these do. On trying these on around the house for a bit, I found that the elastic does not roll or budge in any way, so that wide waistband easily stays laying flat. I decided to keep them since they were so inexpensive, and figured I could just wear them lounging around the house if I ended up hating them (luckily I ended up loving them). They do not stretch out during the day at all. The material is soft.I waited a while before I wrote this review because I wanted to see how these would handle being machine washed & dried. They're cotton so I was a bit worried about shrinking and pilling but I have two pairs (one charcoal, one black) and I've washed them both 5 or 6 times so far without any issues. (It's not been that long since I got these but I've been wearing them a lot). I wash on delicate, cold water, and dry in the dryer on delicate, low heat. So far they have not lost any of their elasticity at all and there's no pilling at all, not even between the thighs. I am curious to see how they hold up over a longer period of time.I do not wear these to work out because I personally don't like to work out in cotton clothing. I am willing to pay a lot more for performance leggings with a higher percentage of poly in the fabric blend for working out, as I find that my sensitive skin prefers wicking materials, and because I don't like working out with obvious sweat showing through my clothes. This is not at all a disappointment to me. Since the cotton/poly blend percentage is right in the product description I knew that these were not for the gym (for me). At this price point I don't think you can get a true performance wicking legging (if you know of one, please let me know!!!). These are fine for me for activities like long walks and light yoga, but not HIIT or running.I've worn them to go out a few times with a tunic and ankle boots, with knee high boots and a sweater, out for date night with heels and a strappy tank top, and of course, lounging around the house. I am very pleased with these leggings overall, and I find myself reaching for them constantly - I'm going to buy a couple more pairs while I'm here!

I like this legging, I used to buy it in stores. now cannot find it and happy it is on amazon,Washes well.keeps its shape I only dry it for 10-15 minutes then hang to dry the rest of the way .. Been wearing it for years

I was so tired of pulling up my leggings! These leggings are so comfortable and stay up!

Great comfort and fit. These are my go to leggings. They do wear out in the inner thighs though, but at this price point they last long enough so i just reorder. Have been since 2018 in fact. Docking a star because my last pair got a random whole in the butt within a week. Hope the quality hasn't changed.

The Charcoal are far smaller (shorter, tighter fitting) than the black. The charcoal also has more polyester/less cotton, so they don't stretch well. You might size up in the charcoal - I also bought a pair in black and they were defective (the waistband was outstretched and they were made poorly).*I've been purchasing these for years and the quality has totally diminished while the price has gone up! It's extremely disappointing - not worth the price.

When I first got my pants (5'2 180 fuller bottom half got size LARGE) I was mad I thought I had ordered the short pants as they looked extremely short at the ankles! I didn't even want to try them on I was convinced I would be returning these! Well I later that day I actually put them on.... top nice fit I'm about a 13-15 size right now 5 months pregnant. I do see what some reviewers say about them getting loose after a while thankfully my bottom half is larger and its not a BIG issue. I've worn these continuously after work or during work not going to lie 2/3 days without a wash and they are fine. Now what I did notice is I've worn knee high fitted boots and i guess from the tugging them up while putting them on i may have forced the ankle band higher (again I have thicker legs including wider ankles) and they seem to fit me more wider at the ankles after i take the boots off nothing major but just noting. They are COMFY! my tummy is getting bigger so I will be buying the XL size soon to get me through this pregnancy. I have noticed a little fading but I have used these a lot so figures! over all I'm pleased I have the thunder thigh problem and these have NOT TORN at my inner thighs which I'm happy about :) I do not like showing my bum with tights but I will be honest I have worn a few short tee's with them as I am sure they DO NOT SHOW my undies! which is a MAJOR PLUS!

Not see through, comfy, perfect length

The only reason I marked as a 4 and not higher is because size is a bit too large (not by much) and I really have not worn or laundered them yet. At this time I would buy again.

Soft, opaque leggings. They are super comfortable, I love the colour. I bought large which fit me at around 145-165 lbs, but have lost weight and will buy a medium. I’m 5’5 for reference.

These leggings are so very comfortable and of really good quality. They are definitely not see through. I love how all the spalding products fit, they fit to size. I`m 5 5.6 and they just go to my ankles.

They fit well and I am a big gal! Nice fabric, fits high in the waist. They do not wear out in the thigh area like other tights. Reasonable price. Great purchase. Have bought both long and capri length.
