Perfect for lefty’s, not a whole lot different than the original paramedic shears of years ago.
A little different than older style, as it has a hard plastic point on the bottom blade for safety. Older models simply had a rounded metal point. Other than that, they are very similar to the older style. Left handed as advertised and are as comfortable as you could expect from working shears.

Left handed products are always appreciated.
As a lefty, far more often than I'd like, I'm stuck having to figure out how to make a right handed product work. Having hand specific products, especially for shears, makes my life easier.Hope this helps.

More EMT shear companies need to make left handed!
I bought these as a gift for a coworker that I saw struggling one day with shears in the med room. My sister and several other family members are left handed and I always felt for her. My coworker LOVES these and I wish that raptor and xshear came in left handed options as well.

Yes, Left handed, Finally!
Typical average quality, but these are left handed, the top blade (long finger hole) is on the left, the lower blade, (thumb hole) is on the right. pull the fingers towards the palm and push the thumb hole away from the palm. the plastic tip had a rough/sharp seam from the molding process. Hence -1 star. I fixed that with a foam fingernail file and my leather strop for sharpening knives. I do like the plastic safety tip over the bent metal. they do cut well. I'm and RN and former Paramedic. This is the first time I have owned Left handed trauma shears. Now I have to break the (cutting in Right handed style habit). Wish I could get some nice German, USA, Japanese made ones though

on the other hand
Nice accommodation for those who happen to be "lefties"- glad that someone was considerate and 'thinkin'......It really is a difference maker to have the right tool in the left hand. I wish that there were more left handed tools readily , abundantly and as affordably available ( think circular saws, chain saws, drills etc. ) -sometimes trigger locks get inadvertently activated when held in the left hand and other challenging issues that can become a problem arise.......Yeah, I know...it's just a pair of scissors..... End of rant.

Not left handed
These scissors are not left handed scissors. I’m left handed,I work in the operating room and was very disappointed to see they are SAME as right handed scissors. False advertisement.

Miniature set
This is a nice small pair of scissors. They measure about 4 1/4 inches, not the 7 1/2 inches as advertised.

Perfect EMT shears for a lefty!
I don't know why I as a grown man have never bothered to buy left handed scissors. I guess I got used to all the right handed crap I had to put up with.Well, I finally wised up and bought several pairs of lefty shears, including these. They work the same as any other basic EMT shears, except they actually work well for me!EMT shears are incredibly handy to have around the house for cutting all sorts of thick or difficult items. Get these.
