I was already a huge fan of MJ Fields' writing before reading Hammered, but this story really takes the cake. There was so much emotion pouring out of these pages it was impossible not to get completely wrapped up and sucked in.Gage and Phoenix have officially become my favorite couple from all of the Steel books and their spin-offs so far. Despite being broken, Gage is 100% alpha everything a good man should be and Phoenix is a strong, stubborn woman chock-full of p*ss and vinegar. The chemistry between them was off the charts HOTT! Loved, loved, LOVED everything about this book.

What's not to love about this book? Not only do we meet and get to know Gage Falcon, we also get a few shots of the men of Steel! Yummy 😋 I devoured this book, couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next. I connected easily with the characters and FELT everything they were going through. Mags is a scene stealer and reminded me of my own Grandma, priceless. But it was Gage that stole my heart! All that he's been through and all that he's overcome just melts my soul. This line from the story resonates with me, "Lies ruin lives, destroy futures, and wreck families." (So True). I'm looking forward to Garrett's story!

Funny? Check. Witty? Check? Hot AF? Check. Phoenix and Gage could not be more suited. I love thatt in this story, there's drama but it's never between them. There's angst and heartache and drama and anger all around, but when it's just them - It's perfect. There's laughter and chucking head shakes and eye rolls and honesty and heat and intensity but it's all so real and laid bare between these two. I'm sucker for good dialogue and won't continue with a book if the conversation sounds ridiculous and unrealistic. This book was a can't-put-it-down. Just, ugh, this Man, with a capital M - Gage. When she's closing down the bar and he helps her put up the stools. Pay attention because this is where Gage Falcon ruins you for any other man, real or fiction. I won't spoil it for you; read the book. You won't be disappointed, you'll remember this review and say, 'oh my God she was right, that scene - his words - changed my life.' Every straight female needs to hold their man up to the bar Gage Falcon set. Incredible story, incredible characters, incredible love.

I so loved this book. Phoenix was taught to work hard for what you want in life and that's what she is doing working at her best friend family bar. Gage just wanted to hook up with a woman and forget his troubles, but a sexy short bartender puts her two cents into it and then the challenge what on. Phoenix doesn't believe a man can be faithful due to her pass. These two are so right for each other but they both have a pass where trusting someone you thought loved you but they betray you. Secrets never stay a secret so when they come out how will Gage handle it and will the one person he wants to be next to him be there, can Phoenix be the strength he needs to help him get through all the betrayal.

Another fabulous 5 star read from best selling author MJ Fields. A little Steel thrown in for good measure in this new book series. Hammered is book one of three with the others scheduled out one month and two months respectively. Really loved this story - the H Gage is such a cocky bastard in the beginning and definitely just looking for no strings attached hook ups. Phoenix is a spitfire and I love how she is such a tough little ninja. There's a beautiful, yet painful story told here and it's done so well. No surprise there. MJ is a consummate storyteller. I truly recommend this book. The transformation of the main characters is a journey that I genuinely enjoyed witnessing.

Well Gage has a selfish mother that dictates everyone lives and will do whatever she deems acceptable no matter who she crosses. Gage's heart is about to explode due to the conniving actions of his mother when it comes to Brand. Phoenix had sworn off love until she finished school and devote time to her husband and family. Ever felt an attraction so strong that you did not know how to handle and made a complete $$$ of yourself, well Phoenix and Gage can give you front row seats to their ........ Gage loves a challenge! Phoenix loves independence! Who will cave first?

Freaking LOVE GAGE FALCON. Gage is sex on a stick and gets what he wants and he has his eyes on a feisty bartender Phoenix. The banter between Phoenix & Gage I love. I laughed, the sex is smokin hot & you will get choked up for how much Gage loves Brand. Gage has been through hell and Phoenix could be the one too pull him through. Once you start reading you will not be able to stop. Gage & Phoenix are perfect for each other and when they are together it is just perfect. I love seeing the Steel Men make an appearance and so excited for Garrett & Grayson's story. Another 5 star read from MJ. I always know that when I read a book of MJ, not only will I get hot sexy men and of course hot sex, but also a sweet side of the men that will make u melt.
