Fab east to follow recipes, wish I'd have bought the hardback version!
The recipes in this book are absolutely amazing, easy to follow, simple and you can tell that the writer has such a passion for the dishes. However... I have downgraded this book (it would have got a 5) because of the quality of it as far as what it's printed on - you open a page to make the recipe and the pages curl up quite badly and it's then difficult to get it flat - I treasure my recipe books (and I have quite a few!) but wish I would have bought the hardback version. Actually I may even do that now too. Can completely recommend the Chicken Masala though this is the one dish I've made so far and it is absolutely amazing - so fresh, so easy and simple too - what more could you ask from a recipe?!

The Taste of Authentic Home Cooked Meals
My ethnicity is British born Kashmiri. What I like about Parveen’s book is that it’s unapologetic a traditional home cooked food.It doesn’t need a plethora of spices like some of the Michelin winning Asian (Indian and Pakistani) chefs throw out there. It’s not a go to quick recipe under 30 minutes like Jamie Oliver. Don’t get me wrong, these chefs all have their place in the culinary world and obviously they’ve earned it.Parveen’s recipes are a labour of love and what you get, is home cooked authentic meals. If you’re expecting to taste like your typical High St curry restaurant then you will be disappointed. This isn’t that.Parveen’s cookbook reminds me of the meals my mum cooked growing up in Birmingham. It’s simple home cooked curry that will win friends as well as those that don’t like curry’s!Everything about this book is about tradition and the recipes that are passed on from mother to daughter.I strongly recommend this book.

Expensive book for very few recipies.
Very disapointed. Waited weeks to be in stock so was delighted when finally arrived. It's a complete rip off. I followed her tv series and so wanted to try many recipes yet there are hardly any in the book. Advice in the beginning very basic. A very expensive book for very little.

Great book, great recipes.
Great book, well illustrated and written. I’m working my way through the recipes one by one. Only niggle is that the book arrived with 2 scratches on the front cover. It’s not a coffee table book but a working cookbook so I did not return it.

Worth buying!
Great clear concise instructions, lovely recipes. I like that Parveen writes out menus to try! She also has a you tube channel that can be watched!
