Red Russian is my favorite kind of kale now. Unlike the curly kale at the grocery store, this kale is so flavorful raw, I don't even cook it. Even the larger leaves are great. I remove the stem by pulling up from the bottom and slice or cut the kale for use in any dish I would normally add greens. From a finely chopped garnish atop omelets, to an addition in place of lettuce in burritos, layered in a salad with other greens or a finely chopped addition to pastas or seafood. Yum! The folks at Ohio Heirloom do a great job with their non-GMO heirloom seeds, affordable prices and quick affordable shipping.

Put 2 to 3 seeds in each of 10 seed pods. After two weeks or more only one grew. I recently planted the rest of the seeds in my garden and I'm hopeful that some will grown. I am sure a big part of my problem is the size of the seeds, which I are about the size of a period at the end of this sentence. It make it very easy for them to go too deep.Follow up: All of the seeds sprouted. I am now expecting a bumper crop.

100% germination. Will update with photos at harvest. I’ve already planted some of these seedlings out in the garden and they took off right away.
