Flexible Stainless Bird Spikes with Plastic Base, Pigeon Fence (20 Feet Coverage 12 Strips)

It works really well but it would be better if there was some way to stick the spikes to where it will sit. If there was a "sticky strip" on the bottom that would stick to the wood or plastic ledge, then the spikes wouldn't fall down. We used some hooks (like you'd put on the back of your bathroom door) that we had. We peeled the paper on the bottom and then stuck the hook on the ledge and then placed the spiked strip on the ledge and slipped the metal bar under the hook to keep it in place. It's working.

So, we had a couple of barn swallows build a nest and hatch their brood in the alcove above our front door. Each time we entered or exited the door we got dive-bombed by the nervous parents (totally understand that). Once the little ones had flown away I knocked down the nest and cleaned up all the guano (yuck!). The family kept coming back soon afterward to try and rebuild the nest again. Placed these spikes, secured with some silicone sealant, and the birds came back a few times but eventually moved on to a better location. Probably my next door neighbor, sorry, not sorry! Easy to put together and can be clipped together and trimmed to the length you need. Very happy with this product.

I painted the plastic strip base to prevent long term sun damage. Good value with comparison shopping.

Instructions for placement on various surfaces would be helpful.

Wire comes in separate bag. Plastic comes in separate bag. Insert metal wire into small holes on plastic. Push through till clicks in place. Easy install. Tape, screw, or tie them on where needed. I used them in my light to prevent them from landing on it and chewing the wires. Lightweight material.

These work well for keeping the birds away from the back window of my pickup truck. They are a little tedious do assemble.

We had doves building nests in our entryway and it was getting out of hand dealing with the cleanup from them. We installed these a few days ago and haven't had any issues since then. I noticed one dove fly into the entryway and look for a place but the spikes deterred it from settling in. So far so good, we're happy with out purchase.

Extremely easy to install and very effective on the back of our swing to deter the birds.
