Excellent finale to a great story.
Very satisfying book. It closes almost all the subplots and although the book leaves you wanting more, it also ends Lucifer's sorry I'm a satisfying way.All in all, a must read like the other for books.

The ending. The only ending.
And it's finally over. Vertigo has finally released the last of it's omnibus's for it's Lucifer series. And what a wild ride it has been. The final collection of the Lucifer is loaded with everything the previous volumes used to great effect. Bright, meaningful imagery, highly quotable lines, utterly messed up moral ideas, and awesome battles. But there is also something more. The emotion that comes with saying goodbye to the characters we have come to know and love for the final time. Mike Carey gives us an epilogue to his characters that is satisfying, and not as dragged out as the ending to the Sandman felt.Goodbye Lucifer series. It's been fun.Oh well, time to read the Unwritten.

Satisfying conclusion
This final set of books bring the Lucifer story as imagined to a very satisfying end. Artwork and story superb throughout. Will read again especially to enjoy the art layout and art itself.

Good Read.
I've been reading Lucifer mostly because of the TV series. I like it. I haven't read comic books in a while so its a nice change. The story from the Lucifer TV series and the comic books are wildly different so there's not much story line conflict to rectify. Good read.

a brilliant series all through
It was an incredible journey. Being a Gaiman fan I started it a little worried if it could live up to the Sandman’s world. It did. Waste no time and read it

Incredible Ending to a Masterpiece
Wow. I just finished Lucifer Book Five, and I am a little bit speechless. Though I enjoyed the story from the beginning (Book 1), I did not anticipate the way this tale grew on me as I finished each volume. As it grew in scope, as the characters grew in depth, as the plot twists grew greater, more convoluted, as the emotional impact grew to a point that literally brought me to tears multiple times, my appreciation grew to a point that I would easily count Mike Carey's Lucifer series among my favorite graphic novels of all time, perhaps only behind The Sandman itself.Carey's portrayal of Lucifer was pitch perfect. He was arrogant and proud, a creature composed of will and wildfire, which made his few moments of connection with other characters— what still might have come across as cold or dismissive from any other character— all the more powerful. These moments that proved that, despite everything and despite what he would himself undoubtedly say, Lucifer CARED about these others. It was masterfully written and equally masterfully brought to life in the art of the many illustrators who participated in the project.I would give this book more stars if I could. I am certain I will be thinking about it for a long time. Like Gaiman's Sandman, Carey's Lucifer proves that graphic novels— comics— very much can (and should) be considered literature. There are so many concepts and various layers of meaning woven into this epic tale, a world of symbolism and reality, a world of art and story, where everyday miracles occur and remind we, the readers, here in real life, how often the little things are more profound and powerful than we have the power to grasp in the moment. Like so many things in life, finishing this part of Lucifer's story is bittersweet.I read this series through my Comixology Unlimited subscription, but When I can afford it, I fully plan to buy a set in hard copy. The art is always far more powerful in hardcopy and beside that, this is a story worth rereading again and again, having on a shelf ready to pick up and fall back into any part at any time. If you love the Sandman and other graphic novels that blur the line between what some people would deem meaningless comic books and what most would agree are the great masterworks of literature, then chances are, you will enjoy Mike Carey's excellent tale of Lucifer Morningstar.

Lucifer: Book Five
The culmination of the pentalogy by Mike Carey. Inspired by the character Lucifer from Neil Gaiman’s epic “Sandman” series, this tells Lucifer’s story after he walks out of Hell a fret ejecting its denizens and locking the gates behind him. This story too is an epic covering many different events and characters.Perfect for fans of Sandman.
