I licked my finger and put it in
UPDATE: I went to plug it in to re charge it and it won't charge. Requested a replacement. pretty sure it will work out. will update on replacement progress after 5/17So i bought this bug light on amazon. $24 shipped immediately and arrived on Sunday (mothers day) I tried testing it outside, and sure enought here comes a classic bull striped southern murder mosquito. I corralled it towards the light. Alexandra grabbed the lamp and held it up towards the demon bug. Muchc like Carol Ann from Poltergeist, The flying Zika Mosquita went into the light and got stuck to it. I saw a couple of tiny zaps but the bug wasn’t yet close enough to burst into nuclear meltdown... so i attempted to blow it further into the death chamber of UV light, but i blew it out and it vanished. Long story short, we doubted the power of this rechargeable zapper. So as a real man would do, i licked my finger and stuck it into the contraption. Yes. It works. I felt it in my elbow. So go on amazon and get one of these. Play hot potato with it 🤷🏻♂️

Super convenient to carry around with you!
I live in a very rural area. Lots of trees and bushes, which means lots of bugs, especially mosquitoes. Our house is also very old, which means there are quite a few places for bugs to make their way inside. On a muggy night, this is handy to just keep on my desk while doing computer work. Or if we're hanging out in the living room, on the table. If we're hanging out on the back patio later in the day, we definitely take this out with us.The battery life is actually quite surprising too. Just having the "bug zapper" light on, it was on for about 6 hours before I plugged a charger in. I have no clue how much longer it would have lasted, but it showed no signs of dimming or having a low battery. The included flashlight function is also very bright. I don't really use it, since I'm just too accustomed to using my phone as a flashlight at this point, but it definitely doesn't feel like "yeah they just included a crappy flashlight for no reason".The only issue I can think of is that there is no easy way to clean the bugs off of it. Some of them will fall off if you just shake it above a garbage can, but a lot of them just stick to it. I can see a lot of bugs building up over time.

A BUG Zapper THAT WORKS !! Mosquitoes no longer buzzing around me...
This bug zapper may initially not seem to work. Like I did, you took it outside with you, sat down & turned it on, but youwere still being buzzed...what gives I said ?? WELL, since my wife's heard attach or home is NON-SMOKING, and while I am trying to quit, it is a process, and I would take the zapper out with me, and back in a few minutes later. The next time, more bugs again. Then I had a breakthrough, I came inside and left it on sitting on the patio table. I went out again an hour or so later, and NO BUGS BUZZING...I looked at the zapper, and DOZENS of mosquito's were fried in the zapper. My mistake was expecting instant results. But turn this zapper on and set it outside an hour or so before going out, and the only rating you can give is ALL 5's, across the board. IT'S GREAT. Planning to buy another one real soon

Great product!
I'm very impressed with this. I really didn't expect it to work well as a bug zapper, but it does. It really shines when hung from the peak of a tent, attracting and neutralizing all the bloodsucking interlopers that make it into the tent, despite your ninja-level tent zipping skills. As a light, it truly excels. It has a very bright, focused beam in flashlight mode, and its secondary lantern mode works great due to the included diffuser. I highly recommend this bad Larry for anyone car camping in areas where biting flies are an issue.

GREAT LIGHT EVEN BETTER ZAPPER!
We have been camping a few times this summer BUT we were getting bit all over even after using bug spray! We needed some backup! So I searched and bought this with slight skepticism. The zapper looks tiny so I wasn't sure how well it would work. It works great! We definitely noticed a difference when we were no longer getting constantly bitten. I checked the zapper in the morning and it was filled with mosquitos! The light features are also great!!! P.S. do not stick your finger in between the plastic fins to see if it works... it works!UPDATE! The zapper is still going strong after lots of use over a few years.
