Such a pleasure to have a product that is well made, with quality parts and easy to put together without a lot of assembly like you sometimes get on Chinese products with dozens of tiny fasteners, etc. And it works as advertised. Mostly spot welded and the other protruding legs/intake/exhaust all bolt right on in a few minutes. Comes with a small wrench and allen wrench and that's all you need. Nice drain for filtering and reusing the oil.

Heats up really quick and a minimum flame holds the temperature at 350 to 375. Great cooker even has a drain valve to remove the old oil.

Was looking for a good fryer for my outdoor kitchen - this will work - spacing and exhaust requirements are a bit tough, but we've arranged a place for it. Its basic construction, and I like the fact it gets so much frying from 2.5 gal of oil. Fairly easy to drain into my filter to recover oil, and to wash out. Drain valve is about 3.8 inch above the bottom so you do have to wipe out the last little bit, but its much easier than a flat bottom, and the heat exchanger mid oil heats much more efficiently. Have to watch it - totally manual, but for the price its a great value - works well, no issues. I added a street elbo (90 deg bend) after the drain valve before the drain pipe, makes draining into an oil filter much easier, but standard 1" pipe fittings make it easy.

I have done a lot of deep frying in large pots, small pots, and even more in commercial thermostatically controlled fryers. This fryer, even though it is not thermostatically controlled is really great for small groups of people and small batches. It holds the temperature very well without constant adjustment of the burner and gives the same quality of fried food that the commercial fryers do. It is great to be able to get that quality of fried food while using only 2-1/2 gallons of oil. The first time I used it I invited several friends over that have a lot of deep frying experience just to see if I had wasted my money on this purchase and before we even finished cooking they were so amazed at the capabilities of this cooker they were talking about purchasing one for themselves.

Was very impressed with the quality of the entire unit. The 2.5 gal. was smaller than I had anticipated so I bought the 4 gal . Going to get lots of use !
