You get what you pay for...and then some here.
For those reading the small handful of negative reviews on this case I'd say you should safely be able to ignore them. The short end is that this case is a great value for how little it costs. Dont expect a $300 case when ordering a $30 case and you'll be very rewarded with the quality. System built using this case: AMD 6300 6-core Overclocked to 4.3ghz MSi 970 chipset 970a-g43 10GB ddr3 1600 mhz ram BFG 550W Modular power supply Kingston 120gb SSD Sata 3 1TB Seagate HD 2x 750GB Seagate HD in Raid HD 7750 Radeon video card First of all, I built this system to use strictly as a workstation, with the ability to lightly game if the urge struck me. This case provides key features that I can't believe I see others complaining about. Small size overall with the ability to handle 5 120mm fans not including the 120mm fan your power supply uses. Hold all my hard drives securely. No sharp edges or weird bends or tweaks that you find in similarly priced budget cases. Basically you're reading this review because you're wondering if the price is worth the value of this case, it absolutely is. If you want tool less for every drive in your system (I remove the tool less design and use screws-I wont be swapping out drives too often so who cares really?), then look elsewhere and spend more money. Its a great budget minded case with great build quality even though its using thinner metal. In auto CAD I run a very nice 52 degrees under load using 4 120mm fans (front back bottom and one on the top) I did not have an issue with the fan hitting my ram, and I am running ram that DOES have a pretty burly heat sync. The power and reset buttons feel solid, and the front panel was removed about 10 times the first day installing everything without even the slightest issue. Would I build some crazy high end gaming system in this case? No, I'd spend more money on a nice full size case. But for my needs, this thing is perfect. P.S. corsair 100i water-cooling now installed as well using the top mounts for the fans, and it finally did hit the ram, albeit I solved the issue by mounting the fan outside the case. This case is obviously way under par for a system running a big watercooler, but I decided that having the 100i sitting around was better put to use.

Outstanding Case
I'm very happy to be leaving a review for this as I would like to touch on somethings people are either complaining about, or are just wrong. This is the SECOND Thermaltake V3 I own for two of my builds, so I can honestly say that I have spent a decent amount of time with this case, and know quite a lot about it. First off, if you're looking for a great case for your ATX or Micro ATX build, this is great. You don't need to be a gamer to buy this case. Even if I didn't plan to do any gaming, I would still highly consider this case just because of the air flow. This case can put out some serious air flow when you add the extra fans which brings me to talking about adding fans. I know a lot of you guys who have bought this claim you CAN'T mount fans up top because you can't get them in, or the case only supports one fan up top. True, and not true. If you're not installing crazy gaming looking ram sticks, you will have no issue mounting fans up there. Yes, you will need to wiggle / force them in a little as it will be a tight squeeze but what I do is I put my hand inside, and push up on the plastic, I guess in a way forming a half inch more room, and at the same time, wiggling the 120mm fan right into place, and screwing it in from the top. Very easy!!! Another thing people claim is that you can't add a fan in the front....YES YOU CAN....the fan DOES NOT go between the bezel and the case....it goes behind the front of the case between the case and the drive bays. There is a gap there, you'll see it, the fan goes in there, and you put the screws in from behind the bezel. It's super easy. I recommend the Thermaltake AF0032 fans. They fit perfect, and match the color of the stock fan PERFECTLY. Just be careful removing stuff from the case like the bezel and stuff, as if you're not careful, and not careful with the clips, you'll break it. I haven't but I'm very careful. Hope this helps.

Good case, cheap company
It's a great case that fits everything perfectly, with a cool little window and vents, placements for fans. Here's my problem with them -- they only include ONE rear case fan. My philosophy is, if you push so hard on the point of great airflow, include a goddamn intake fan (less than $10!!!) To make matters worse, none of the many screws included are for a fan in the front (which is EXTREMELY important as my case is red hot without it...the difference is night and day) and the screws I do have to get are 10cm because the damn case doesnt even have a bracket for me to put my fan in. So now im gonna lug on over to Home Depot, only to hope and pray it works. Also, there's a space for a case fan on top, but an average thickness fan wont fit between the top and the RAM, so I had to hunt down a thin fan...and more screw. It's all just a bunch of extra work that could have been solved by less laziness and cheapness from this company. Although they use good material, they obviously could give a rat's ass about the customer -- never ordering a product off these guys again.

Pretty Nice Cheaper Case
I bought this case because it seemed like the cheapest case that would work well for building a computer. It's certainly no high end contraption but I'm pretty happy with it. The fan in back is quiet and has blue LEDs (kind of cool, kind of annoying). The power supply goes on bottom, with the fan pointing out the bottom of the case, which has a filter on it. I put a spare computer side underneath while it's on carpet to let it breathe better. It has tall feet but still sinks into the carpet. With it on the bottom, all of the wires reached where they needed to go, but some were more awkward than they would have been if it were on top. Overall, I like having it on bottom. It doesn't compete with the motherboard and optical drives as much. Lots of open space on top for ventilation, too. There's the window and vent on the open side. This is just a desktop PC for home, I'm not planning on doing anything crazy, but it seems like it would be a good case for some modification and overclocking, too. It has lots of space for extra drives (and lots of space for installing them and working the cables in) and good ventilation. There is only one tool-less mount for each drive type, just secures one side. I'm not sure how much I like them... they are easy to get on and off, but don't hold the drive extremely well. The Power LED line was a 3 slot connector with 2 wires on the outer slots. I had to move one in to fit on the motherboard I bought. The power LED points off one corner and the HDD LED off the other, so from the side it can be hard to see both. There's no speaker built in, but my motherboard has one on it, so not important to me. To get the front off, you have to take out four screws and then snap the top end off. Part of one of the snaps broke off when I was working on it. Disappointing, but not a huge deal.

Great looking case that is well laid out, and has extensive cooling feaures.
What can I say about Thermaltake. I have used their cases, especially their full tower server cases, for years. The V2, V3, and V4 are premium black cases that are well laid out, and very rugged and dependable. I am an MS OEM clone manufacturer, and these cases make a great looking machine. The fans are quiet for a case this size, and roomy, and the ability to add two top mounted 120 mm fans really makes them run cool without having to resort to liquid cooling even in higher performing processors. It has a built in liquid cooling port setup in the backplane too if you have a need. The perforated black metal grillwork adds to both the look and the cool running. This is just a great all around computer case. The only cases that compare are some of the offerings from NZXT. Thermaltake has long been the gold standard in cases, and this case carries on that tradition with style.

Amazed with value!!!
This is probably the best value you can get for a case. I read a lot of reviews and saw that people are complaining tht it doesn't come with motherboard stand-offs, well the top part of the case has screw holes already drilled and risen from the back of the case (stand offs are not necessary here) however the rest of the case has only holes for stand offs that aren't risen (this is to prevent unnecessary grounding/static discharge) It does come with a grounding mount and 2 stand offs so you can mount either ATX or micro-ATX. In total, if you buy the version with the tiny window you can mount 6 120mm (12cm) fans including the pre-installed exhaust fan. Comes with plenty of screws to counter the lack of tool-less pieces, comes with a speaker for your motherboard. Minimal cable management, but just enough to fit all the cables for peripherals behind the motherboard tray (if they are long enough). Any real cable management is not realistic in this case with a full size ATX board because it is not designed for cable management you can use the hole above the PSU for cable management with a micro-ATX board. There probably is not enough space for a motherboard power cable behind the motherboard tray unless you take sleeving off and mush the cable flat. There are plenty of spots to zip-tie cables down so long as you are crafty. Air flow is great even with only the exhaust fan and CPU fan. Great nice looking case, especially for the money!

Dud, faulty power switch
In 20+ years of home building rigs I've never seen this, which made it all the more frustrating. Building a budget box for a friend and paired this with an i5, highly rated mobo, 8gb ram, decent vid card, solid power supply. Put it all together and when I flipped the switch on the power supply the chassis fan and the cpu fan powered up, which was odd. Then two seconds later they power down. Push the power switch on the case and nothing happens. Go through the process of swapping out known working parts to try and identify the culprit. CPU, memory, power supply, vid card, all with the same result. Returned the mobo, thinking that had to be the problem. Received the new mobo today, plugged everything in and same result. Never even gets to power-on-self-test (POST). Went an purchased a new case, plugged in everything and shazzam, everything is fine. My case had a faulty power switch, which as I said earlier, I've never seen in 20+ years of building computers. Your mileage may vary.

Low End for a Name Brand
I ordered this case based on past purchases and had hoped for a quality budget-priced case from Thermaltake. At the very least when you buy a Thermaltake case you would expect the included case fan would be made by Thermaltake. Not only is the fan a low quality off-brand, but for me, it also failed and had to be replaced within hours. As others have stated it is almost impossible to remove the front cover without breaking off the plastic tabs on the top corners; not a great design. The other four connection points are round metal clips and can be removed from the inside with a screw driver. The top plastic tabs/connectors completely cover the screws that fasten them to the front cover so you can't remove them. You basically just have to pry the cover off the top front of the case. Good luck removing it without breaking the thin cheap plastic. They should have just used the same metal clips for all 6 fastners. Overall the metal is thin and the design often times makes you wonder what they were thinking. The case is usable for the most part but the design and materials are below par for a company like Thermaltake. Next time I will just spend another $30 and get something higher in quality.

Muy espaciosa
Una caja preciosa como todas las de Thermaltake. Este modelo no es demasiado caro pero tiene un acabado muy bueno y mucho espacio dentro para acomodar todo lo que queramos meter

Super case for the money!
I just bought this recently direct from Amazon. It's for a desktop monster that I am building. For the cost of around $40, this case is tough to beat. If you are trying to build a high performance PC on a budget, this is an excellent choice. The number of spots for added cooling fans is excellent if you are building a machine that is going to run hot like the AMD 6 core that I'm building. It's attractive and offers space for lots of drives from 2.5 up to full size desktop HDDs. My only little negative comment is the 4 feet used on the bottom of the case are cheap and not very robust, but that's minor. All in all, 5 big stars for Thermaltake!

Cool Looking Tower
Got this for my new build PC and am really happy with it. Its not a huge case or anything so if your gonna build a monster then you might struggle to get everything in - only if your going crazy though, it took everything I wanted with room to spare. I also liked the unexpected treat of the blue LED fan at the back. It also has 5 or 6 different vents for fans to be installed and is great for keeping everything cool. The removable grates from the front are also well made and wont bend or snap out like previous towers Ive owned as they are made from metal. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing a new tower.

Preis/Leistung Top
