Great pads at a great price
Before I leapt into another several hundreds of dollars’ worth of replacement headlight assemblies (2009 Camry) I decided to grind these down again and this time clear coat them. The last time I tried this I used a package restoration kit that had only two grits of pads and a hand tool. The assemblies were oxidized so badly it was not safe to drive at night with just the low beams on as the plastic was too crudded up. Using my electric DA with a 3” backing pad I started with 800 grit, spending some time grinding them down. I sprayed them down with Purple Power to clean them very well, then moved to the 1k grit. In between grits I washed and kept the lens moist with distilled water. From 1K I progressed up: 2K, 3K, 5K, 7K, 10K. By the time I hit 10k the lenses were looking pretty good. Finishing them with a plastic polisher (PlastX) and buffing pad they really shined. In the pictures you can see each side before and after the progress ending with the plastic polisher. The final picture is after the first heavy coat of clear sprayed onto it. Using the same pads I am polishing up the coats of clear until I get to the final product. The pads are holding up great in all this water. I keep the DA at a low speed. Great investment, these pads.

Excellent finishing product for Dremel.
Good selection of sand papers. Works well with Dremel to get a nice polished surface on wood.

Overall a good product and value
Used for wet sanding mineral specimens and have used this in the past. The product is effective and you get along of sanding discs. One disappointment is that unlike my previous purchase, the backing on the sanding sheet separated from the sanding paper which made re-use sometimes impossible. My first purchase of this set didn’t have that problem. Maybe a change in adhesive supplier?

Great assortment. Excellent value.
In need of replacement sanding disks for my Dremel, I found this sanding disk package on Amazon. It came with a generous assortment of numerous sanding grits including buffer pads and drill shanks. The assortment will be usable for most Dremel sized projects. The quality and value are well worth it.

Worked great for reconditioning my headlights
The 2 inch pads are perfect for headlight resurfacing. Anything bigger (4, 5, 6 inch) and it becomes harder to control and keep the sanding to just the headlight and not the surrounding painted surfaces. I spent about 40 minutes per headlight to recondition using wet sanding methods and then after I used Meguiar's polishing compound (ultra cut then ultra finishing). I used several sanding discs of various grits from rough (800) to finishing (10000) finishing up with Meguiar's ultra cut on one sponge and then ultra finishing on another sponge. Headlights went from yellowing, foggy, hazed over... to clean, bright, and clear plastic with a nice shine (like new). Finished them up by applying 3M vvivid protective film on both lenses. This UV protective film is removable down the road (non-permanent). Total cost of then entire package with protective film was $65. Time cost: 90-100 minutes. Used my own high speed drill. Alternate route: Buy two brand new headlights and have to remove front bumper and headlight assembly...probably a 3 hr. solo job and a minimum of $160 for both non-oem headlights. More expensive non-oem cost $220 a set. OEM brand headlights are double that cost. This is the best, cheapest, quickest way to do this... just resurface those headlights rather than replacing them. The yellow/hazing is only on the outside of the headlight caused by oxidation and UV damage. Just wet sand/polish that off and they'll be good as new! Use this set because it works and it's less expensive.
