MaloneWideTrak ATB Large Kayak/Canoe Cart with Bunks

This cart is a beast!
The Malone WideTrak ATB Large Kayak Cart is the real deal. I wanted a cart that would be strong and wide enough to support my Hobie Outback, yet versatile enough to use with my Dagger Alchemy touring kayaks. I set it up with the bunks at the widest position and they align perfectly with the Outback's hull. This same setting comfortably cradles my Alchemys. The cart is extremely well made. The large semi-cushioned tires should allow me to go through most terrain and I've no concerns that the cart will hold up to the weight. It comes with a pair of really heavy duty cam buckle straps. On smooth terrain, I've (carefully) transported the kayaks without using the straps, however, they will come in handy on hills or rougher terrain. I prefer them over my Thule straps for lashing the Outback to my trailer. On the downside, this isn't a compact cart that you can readily fold up and store in a hatch. It weighs roughly 15 pounds and it quite large. You might be able to strap it on your back deck but, again, it's a beast. Do your homework first if you intend to store it on your boat while you're fishing.I debated whether to build a DIY cart from PVC. By the time I bought all the hardware, I'd have spent at least $40-50 and it probably would have failed in a year or two. For not a lot more money, I have a cart that will last for at least a decade.

Cart and customer service - no complaints whatsoever
The box arrived quite damaged by USPS but luckily the cart was unscathed. However, parts were missing that quite likely fell out of a large hole in the box. The hardware to connect the bunks to the cart and a pair of straps and the seller immediately sent them (separately I might add because I didn’t know everything that was missing until I was putting it together). The cart with bunks at the farthest or widest setting fits my hobie mirage tandem kayak perfectly. This is a very robust cart that I think will last for many seasons. I am very pleased with it and with the sellers responsiveness to my issue with the missing parts. I did send them pictures of the damaged box as soon as I received it - that is after I first realized that specialized hardware was missing. So overall, a very good kayak cart - the bunks up against the hull really help with ensuring a good fit and not scratching or damaging the kayak. With the cart I am now able to get the 75 lb kayak from the truck bed to the lake shore without assistance. Thank you for this high quality cart and excellent customer service!

A very solid kart for big kayaks
Great product: easy to assemble, strong, and adapts well to different width kayaks.Mine is setup for a Jackson Big Rig and it handles the big kayak just fine. The Big Rig is easily 150lbs and the kart handles it fine with stability and ease of movement and its very maneuverable. The 12 inch wheels give me good clearance for the rudder when loading/unloading the Big Rig on my trailer.Just one point to consider, it is a big kart, not one I will be putting on the kayak like the previous one.

Sometimes you get what you pay for.
I absolutely love this product. Easy to assemble and takes all the work out of handling a heavy Kayak.

Quality control
The cart is built very well very happy with this product, but the foam on the cart is covering the third hole and that is the one I need for my SS127. And the pin for the bunkers one is to short and has a wider head obviously it is the wrong pin, other then the quality control this is a great cart.

It’s very large!
I have a 13’ Pelican pedal drive n this one worked the best by far! Had to return two others because the yak just wouldn’t sit stable on it.My yak has those tunnel rams on the bottom, this cadi has the adjustable width to set it up perfectly.

Good quality product
Fine product. Probably over-kill for my kayak, which is a conventional round hull which does not need the “bunks”. I am using it without the bunks with good results. I might have saved extra cost. Only complaint is that listing does not explain when bunks are necessary.

Worth it!!
This was the best investment. I bought this for my boyfriend and I. We take his kayaks to fish and he has three Bonafide kayaks that are heavy for 5’1” 129 pound self especially uphills. Had a cheaper cart and I about died. This one I did it all by myself!! :). Made pulling so much easier and loading it on to the cart was easy too!! Love it!!
