Bit of a squeeze, once you get it past the camera bump it’s snug

No, you have to tap slightly harder but it still works

Q: Does this fit on the 1st generation Apple pencil

This is designed specifically for the 2nd generation pencil which has a different design to the 1st one.

Q: Is this very thin? Can it fit in iPad cases with a pen holder slot?

Yes it fits the slot in my iPad case. It’s very tight though and fiddly to get the pencil out. It is important to ensure that the flat side of the pencil sleeve is against the flat side of the pencil, to ensure a good connection for charging the pencil through the sleeve.
