If you like black licorice you may want to give these little candies a try. They used to sell them at a market close to me but they stopped stocking them. Never thought I'd find them on Amazon! They are a bit unusual. It's hard to describe. But I really love them!

When I purchased this licorice in a store, it was the best I had ever tasted, but ordering it online was a major disappointment. The “hard candy” is all soft and discolored— stale or somewhat melted. And I have 12 bags of it!

So, I got this giant box of licorice to share amongst friends at the office, but each candy is wrapped in a waxed paper wrapper like a cough drop. I thought maybe they would now come in plastic wrappers because of covid, but they don't. So, if this is important to you– now you know.Flavor wise, I love black licorice. But these are funky tasting because of the syrup inside. It reminds me of licorice and sorghum/corn syrup– can't tell which. I wish licorice was all I tasted, so I have to say I was sorry I ordered these. Though tey could delight you– who knows??
