Love model magic!!

Fun, Fun, Fun! Like so many things I buy, I did not buy this for the normal reasons. I bought this clay for my car! I installed a new radio that had a gap around the edges and the clay matches the color of my console. I knew if I filled it in with the model magic, I could remove the console if I needed to in the future. The clay will shrink as it dries so I just filled the hole with more model magic.

We love playing with play dough and clay but can never find black. This is great and if you don’t want to have your claymation dry we seal it in play dough bins for later use. Great value and super easy to clean up.

I used this to make a unicorn horn and ears for a halloween costume. I loved the fact as it was lightweight as it was easy to attach to my mask and headband and wear all night. Also the softness kept me from impaling friends when at the party but it was strong enough not to break. From one package i was able to make two sets of horns and ears... my first try wasn't so great.

Really nice product for my son that likes to make his own creations and playdoh wasn't cutting it. We got the black and white and he was thrilled and immediately started using them. Good amount for a good price as well.

I bought this with marginal expectations to cover sharp pieces of plastic that came off from around my cars cup holder. I kept cutting myself on this very sharp material so I had to think of a better way than ducktape to cover up. This worked beautifully. I just covered in the black modeling clay and flattened so it blended in more. Lovely. Can't wait to think of more uses for this.

This model magic stuff doesn't quite have the density of clay, or the puffiness of play dough, but it was still fun to work with and share with a younger family member. It holds its shape fairly well, and didn't stain or even stick too much to our hands or a newspaper covered table. The packaging says that you can reuse it if you stick it in an air tight container, but apparently name brand freezer zipper bags (with almost all the air sucked out via straw) weren't air tight enough for it, and the product did harden before we could use it again another day, so unless you have a better way to store this (maybe one of those vacuum food saver devices?) this is pretty much a one time activity. On the bright side, however, the creations we made also hardened and held their shape overnight just leaving them out in the open. As an adult, the really big downside is the price: even though the product is very light, and 4 oz of it goes a lot further than 4 oz of traditional clay or dough, there just wasn't much volume to play and create with here. I can easily pick up several large sticks of clay or tubs of dough at my local dollar store, but an equivalent amount of model magic in the same amounts and same variety of colors would set me back well over thirty times that.

I wanted to make a sunburst with leftover glass shards.I need to slightly stick the chards into clay and add some E600,I made a round disc about an 1/8 inch thick, I added to holes on top for wire.It worked!!!. The cost was perfect..Thank you to everyone who answered my questions.. As an Artist we try to keep cost down, especially now..
