Nifty E-Z Guide To Psk31 Operation

Nifty E-z Guide... Echolink
Most of the published (web or otherwise) information (documentation, etc.) about accessing and using Echolink is accurate, but quite technical, and seems to overlook the practical needs, knowledge gaps, and abilities of newbies (like me). Lafreniere anticipates these basic questions (and more) and answers them, and does so very clearly. Whether one uses SignaLink, Rigblaster, or some comparable produce, there's lots of good, easy to follow, information and instruction. One major criticism of this guide is the lack of an index, which I consider to be essential for a book on a topic like this. Another criticism is that there seems to be too much emphasis on using EchoLink with Windows XP, and Vista, and comparatively little focusing on Windows 7, which ships with the majority of new PCs.

Helpful Reference for New EchoLink Users
I am just getting my feet wet in EchoLink and this small, pocket sized reference has been my personal "security blanket" as I explore this technology. I may have more to say when I finish digesting all the advice this small booklet has to offer.

Nice book for psk 31 beginner
I found this book to answer a lot of questions about psk 31 that as a beginner I had. It deals mainly with Digipan which is the software many beginners choose. Tells the reader how to configure the software and what is going on.Only con is it does not give you much information "if things dont work". Overall it is worth the price to new comers to the mode.

Fair Basic Text
This book is well written although very basic and a couple of years behind the curve in terms of software. The first couple of chapters do a good job of explaining how Phased Shift Keying came to be and its theory. The latter portions deal with actual operation, interfacing, and software support. That material is quite dated.

I like it
Great basic guide. Although you can learn most of it separately, this info is all gathered into one -- bound -- place!

Great Guide!
This is just what I was looking for to start using PSK31. I am from the older days of AMTOR with a AEA interface running AMTOR and RTTY and I want to go digital now with PSK31 and this guide looks like it will help me understand it.Thanks for a great book!

Very Helpful Guide
I was starting to struggle to get my settings spot on for PSK31 until I found this guide. It explains things in a easily understood way that makes life much less stressful. It still allows you to do some of the thinking for yourself.I just wish I had purchased this earlier.

PSK31 revealed.
Very informative for using PSK31 mode. Recommend reading to effect another way of QRP operating on amateur radio bands for the beginner.
