Newbies to the world of Laughter Yoga will learn a lot from reading this book. It serves as an excellent introduction to Laughter Yoga for the novice, as well as being a great little book to have for Laughter Yoga professionals such as myself. Readers will learn about the history, benefits, studies and applications of Laughter Yoga and will be greatly encouraged to try Laughter Yoga at a community club or at a laughter session. Whichever ancient Greek first said, "Laughter is the best medicine" - He was right! It has been proven to be a world-beating stress reliever with huge benefits for our physical and mental well-being. It is also a perfect antidote to the negativity in the world. This book encourages us to laugh every day, to use that laughter to lift our spirits and become more joyful, and to light a lamp for others to see how they too can sweeten life with more laughter. Loved Laughter Yoga!!
Reading the Laughter yoga book, as well as joining a Laughter Yoga International Club, and Leader Training has changed my life! My stress levels are lower, and I smile and laugh more than I ever have. I highly recommend the book, as well as joining the Laughter Yoga club with Dr. Kataria. He and his stellar team are welcoming and genuinely kind people whose mission is to spread health, joy, and laughter to all. By doing so, we can bring peace to the world.

My Laughter Yoga Bible!
Dr Kataria has written both a truly professional, comprehensive book about Laughter Yoga, but also one that is useable and practical. An excellent resource for students of Laughter Yoga, but also for anyone who enjoys laughter yoga or anyone who is interested in exploring this incredible and holistic natural way of living wholly and healthily in our bodies and in the world, with it's many applications and making an impact for world peace. Everything is covered in this wonderful piece of work, including psychology and physiology and much much more. There is so much in this book and every piece of writing is relevant, interesting and tested and highly credible. I cannot rave enough about Dr Kataria's book. You need to purchase it to experience how much you will gain from reading it! All gratitude to you Dr Madan Kataria.

The must-have guide for anyone wanting to become younger, healthier and happier.
Laughter Yoga is a great technique to connect with joy and uplift your spirits. In this book, Dr. Kataria, the founder of the Laughter Yoga movement, provides us with a very well structured guide to approach LY for everyone, whether you’re a first timer or an advanced practitioner. It’s a useful and full of knowledge tool for everyone interested in feeling younger, healthier and happier. LY has already changed the life of many people and I’m sure this book will change the lives of many more around the world.

It was okay
I don’t like information repeated multiple times and found that to be ongoing in this book. I liked his sincerity and desire for others to benefit from laughter yoga, I just don’t personally care to read things restated over and over.

Great resource
I practice Laughter Yoga and I am sorry I didn't purchase this book sooner. This book really gives you the best explanation of how Laughter Yoga really works to better your health. Great book.

I’m really loving reading about Laughter yoga and learning more about this fascinating therapy. I’m just saddened that the publishers have let the author down. It is littered with grammatical errors. Shame on you Penguin

This book is a treasure trove of information on a topic that is so well known to everyone - laughter. At a ‘headline’ level, everyone knows that laughter brings happiness to our lives but how many would know that one can follow some ‘exercises’ to attain the benefits of laughing? This book and the resources it provides references to, helps to get those benefits. In fact, the ‘exercises’ are so easy that it is tough to even call them as exercises !. It is actually surprising to know that ‘fake’ laughter can produce the same positive physiological effects as real laughter. It is clear that being a medical doctor, Dr. Kataria has been able to see these connections, carry out further research to blend laughter techniques with aspects of yoga, breathing etc. The most interesting point is the ‘universality’ of the concept of Laughter Yoga: that is: anyone irrespective of age, religion or location can laugh !. All the basics that one need to know are explained in an easy way, using simple language so it is easy to understand and follow..

A beautiful and amazing book on Laughter Yoga (LY), from the founder of LY himself, describing and prescribing daily laughter practices for health and happiness in a lucid manner. It is a comprehensive book covering, inter alia, the origins of LY, its concept and philosophy, how to laugh alone and in groups, the numerous benefits of LY, and applications of LY at the workplace, schools, old age homes etc. LY is easy to learn and a lot of fun. Who thought that laughter is a serious matter! Dr Kataria has done a great job in putting his innovative ideas into a structured book format. That he has been at this movement for 24 years is truly remarkable. The lofty ideals of Laughter Yoga have been brought out very well. The spread of Laughter Yoga to over 113 countries is no mean achievement. It is a milestone in Dr Kataria;s journey to see this book being published in the US. It may be a good idea to create a biopic!
