Simple to replace and it just works
Aside from having to remove 20+ screws to get at the control box, this could not have been more simple. LD450EAL shut down with 01 - Bucket Full error code. Just follow the wires and replace them with this and you'll be all set. Could not have been easier and saved myself from having to take it in for repairs and/or buy a new dehumidifier. Worked like a charm.

Sensor works well.
This replacement went surprisingly well. Not easy to disassemble the dehumidifier, but if you can get past that hurdle, it works well. The trick is to remove enough screws to loosen the side panel of the (in my case LG) dehumidifier. Then it goes easy. It also took a couple days to "burn in". Initially it was stuck on a "HI" reading on the panel. But soon controlling OK.

Glad I went "outside the box".
I purchased this item thanks to information, on the Internet, as to how to remedy the problem of an "01" trouble code, which appeared on my 5 year-old LG Model # LHD459EL dehumidifier. I had contacted LG Customer Service and was told that this code meant that I had to have the unit serviced but they could not tell me where to take it for service! So, I called around and most service facilities told me that the cost of repair was not worth it. One facility told me that they could take it but would not be able to look at it for at least 2.5 months. But, as luck would have it, this turned out to be a common problem about which LG certainly knew but it was other consumers who proved to be the best source of information and not LG! As reported, this part, for an approximate cost of $15 plus another $5 shipping (Amazon), solved the problem and the dehumidifier is still working, more than a month after replacing this part. I will say that it took me longer to install than one consumer had reported but that was undoubtedly due to the fact that the process was more confusing to me.

Before you replace the sensor read this!
GHD30 Goldstar would not run unless 90%+ humidity. You could blow on humidity sensor and unit would briefly turn on. So I took a chance since the part number was updated but it didn't fix the issue. What I found was this; if you unplugged the Humidity Control (2 wire white plug) on circuit board unit would constantly run. I checked ohms of humidity control, (off=3ohms - on full clockwise = 53k ohms) not knowing the pot value I added resistors until I found the magic number, if added to much control would not shut unit off & constantly run. My number was 1247 ohms. A 1.2k plus 47 ohm put in series at humidity control, unsoldered one wire, soldered resistor to pot and reconnected wire to end of resistor. Heat shrink on resistors. Unit works flawlessly since this fix. The only thing I can think of is there was a value that changed on the circuit board affecting operation.

Perfect part for my Zenith ZD300Y0 (code 01)
Used this part to correct a "01" code with a blinking bucket full indicator light. I have a Zenith (LG from what I've read) humidifier model ZD300Y0, and part was a perfect fit. Hope I don't need to purchase any more, but will if I have the issue again.Replacement was simple, but you do need to remove the rear cover, metal case and front control panel (on my model approximately 18-20 screws) in order to access the control board, in which you plug this new sensor. You might also try first to clean the copper sensor that is clipped directly to the copper line running to the finned coil. I've read that can correct the issue sometimes. I just made sure both line and clip were clean when I installed this new thermistor sensor. Before putting it all back together I just plugged it in to see if it worked, and it did. 5 minutes later it was in the basement doing its job.

Missing part of the assembly
I didn’t receive all of the sensor assembly, only part of it.

Didn't fix the problem, but......
Didn't fix the problem, but...... that is not the fault of the part. My dehumidifier is a Zenith I bought from Lowes. My initial problem was the unit fan would start when I rotated the humidity control to on, but the compressor would not start on its own, and the fan would only run for a few minutes before it shut off. Noticed if I sprayed water from a mist bottle over the sensor the compressor would run for about a minute, so I thought what the heck, try replacing this. The part that arrive looks identical to the OEM part and fit perfectly, but did not change the symptoms. I tried shorting the two terminals of the humidity control knob (it's just a simple variable resistor with an on/off switch built in) and it improved the symptoms. Now the machine turns on when plugged into the wall and the compressor starts but the unit cycles on and off way too often. Sounds like it's time for a new dehumidifier.
