Reusable Heart Ice Sculpture Mold

It was a great addition to my table and impressed my guests on Galentine's Day! Note: be sure to add an ice base in addition to the base of the heart. that is part of the double heart. Also, using boiled water creates a clear sculpture - I was in a hurry, but I like how it turned out.

Looks good. Came on time. I have not used it yet. I wish it were bigger. I will end up having to make several and build a display this way, instead of using one.

The mold is durable plastic. It's fairly deep, so water will take 2 to 3 days to freeze. (I found that adding crushed ice sped up the process. The ice floats to the top, which is the back. I used red food coloring, & the crushed ice didn't really show.) If you choose to color the sculpture & set it up outside, be aware that the food coloring will leach out after about a week, leaving you with a clear ice sculpture. Not sure where it went...the snow wasn't discolored. If you get some clear slightly sunny days, you can get a lacy version of the sculpture as it melts.

It is difficult to make out what it is and it fell over in the middle of wedding vows even after tryin to prop it really well.

Made a beautiful focal point for decorations at a Valentine's dinner dance. Custom made sculptures were either unavailable or too expensive. Only drawbacks were time needed to fully freeze and mounting it securely.

I had purchased a larger one first and realized it way too big. this one is grerat because it fits in a regular freezer and is reuseable.

The heart sculpture was easy to stabilize. Was very pretty.
