Not my first BlackVue dashcam. Great camera at a great price. Excellent at night, smooth video and excellent design/build quality. Very happy.

Stopped working after 3 months. Continuously re-setting every 30 seconds which created a distraction whilst driving as it speaks to you every time!Managed to get a very quick replacement from Amazon but don’t have a great deal of confidence that it won’t happen again.

I have been using a BLACKVIEW (Windscreen only) unit for over four years and have been totally satisfied, and impressed by the camera which talks to you, tells you when it switches on and off, and produces stunning visual evidence of 'Who hit Who' and who was at fault. I cannot fault it, it cost me about £200. and I love it, so, I did what Dads do and bought this up to date, two cameras (front and rear) unit for my son. I was astonished to hear him say that, after installing it in his car, the unit refused to work because he had the wrong type of mobile phone!I find it hard to believe after four years of delight with my single lens unit the he should face such an obstacle with a more modern unit than the one that sits in my car. He may have an older phone, it certainly is not a Mac iPhone,but should that be a criteria for a device such as a Dash Cam? It beats me, be aware before you buy. My son tells me that it has to do with mine being 'Bluetooth' and the new dash cam working on 'Wi Fi'.

I had this professionally fitted and was glad I did, the wiring loom on my car was very messy. I also bought the power magic accessory that lets you record for a given time, or until the car battery drops to a given voltage, whilst parked. Both are working OK.I bought a 128gb memory card, non BlackVue as BlackVue are very expensive. It would not work initially until I realised I had to format the card using BlackVue’s app. That is free from their website. After I downloaded it to my PC and formatted the card with their app using a card reader the non BlackVue card worked fine. This is a bit of a hassle, hence only four stars.I have had it for a week so far so too early to see how long term reliability goes.

I PURCHASED THIS PRODUCT FROM AMAZON; THE INNER BOX I NOTICED HAD A BROKEN SEAL. THERE WAS NO MICRO CARD AND NO TOOL FOR EASING THE CABLE UNDER THE RUBBER SURROUND. OBVIOUSLY THE BOX HAD BEEN OPENED PREVIOUSLY OR SOMEONE HAD HELPED THEMSELVES TO THE CONTENTS. TOO MUCH HASSLE TO RETURN TO AMAZON. OPTED TO PURCHASE AN ADDITIONAL CARD COSTING £49.COMMENCED INSTALLING THE CAMERAS, PROBLEM IS IF YOU NEED TO HIDE THE CABLES DISCREETLY FROM THE BACK CAMERA TO THE FRONT, THE CABLE IS NOT LONG ENOUGH. NOT WORTH THE £254 IT COST TO-DATE !!

Had cameras now for two years..they are brilliant They do exactly what it says on the tin. Recommend !
