I love minerals. So much so that I read everything I could find. A seminal moment in my life came when I read that many men had bankrupted themselves buying mineral collections. I instantly vowed to buy books on the subject, never minerals.I kept the few I had already purchased but if I could sell them and buy books with the money I would.Do what I do -- get a mineral collection on paper. More specimens, less bankruptcy.My 3 favorite art books (available on Amazon) are:- Icon by Frank Frazetta (magnificent style the hard way -- with a brush)- The Art of Omni by Jeremy Frommer (from Omni Magazine)- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson (100 full color pictures)
