....as new book! Great coverage of auto history. However, if you already have an extensive automobile book collection some of the information contained within may be repetitive. Good little reference book though....with fairly decent photos.

Do not buy this book if you are interested in non-European classic cars. I was hoping this edition would be more complete, but it is entirely Euro-centric.

nice pictures of the classics

This is a very comprehensive and good value book which runs to over 300 pages. There's plenty of informative text and lots of mainly colour pictures.Apart from specific marques of cars this book charts developments in engines, wheels and other car features too. To anyone interested in cars and who's of a certain age this book really is a walk down Memory Lane that will be picked up time after time - Martin Buckley and Chris Ress have done an excellent job.

this kept my husband occupied for his birthday and more. I would have found the print too small but as he has excellent eyesight the print was no obstacle to enjoyment. He was pleased, so I am pleased.

The contents are wonderfully presented, well written and great photos, so why am I giving it only 3 stars? Presumably a great many readers will be in their third or fourth quarter of life, the book fonts are extremely small especially the one used to explain the photos. My tired eyes find it very difficult to read even with a magnifying glass.
