Has anyone had a child younger than 8 years old use this? If so, was it easy for them or too advanced?

The Spirograph is suitable for a child 8 and older, maybe a well-coordinated 6 year old, but younger children may get frustrated too quickly and never learn to enjoy this art design toy. A lot depends on the patience and willingness of an adult to assist the child.

It's an adhesive putty, kind of like blue-tac, that you can put on the Spirograph to hold it in place. It then comes off without damaging the paper. It's also reusable.

What size the box is ?

A small box about the size of a note book. I wish I had picked a bigger set. Hope this helps.

What can be used as replacement putty?

Thanks for reaching out. Since Spirograph doesn’t sell the putty separately, I would search for any non-toxic, child-friendly mounting putty to use as a replacement.
