Wow!!! So happy we found these! A perfect fix for my ancient key fob. Fit like a glove and worked great from the get go. YAYYY!!!

This was a replacement for a cracked key fob case for our 2008 Lexus RX350. Perfect fit and moderately easy to replace with the old. That’s going to depend on how nimble your fingers are and if you choose to do this task on a day when your mind is clear and blood pressure is stable.

If you like putting stuff together, it's kind of fun. This is better than paying I think it's like 200 for a new Lexus key, getting it cut and having it programmed. It was hard to get the key out of the original casing that has to be screwed in. Then it was difficult to get the key down into the new key enclosure. I used a jewel wrench to squeeze it down in there. You have to or the holes won't line up, and you can't close the shell around the key. But when you get it in there, it's snug, even before you add the screw in the back. I don't think it can be done with hands. There are some that click together, this one with the screw is super secure. It doesn't have the Lexus emblem on it. Which I'm mentioning because I ordered another that had the key and you add the programming part and get the key cut, but it looks like an actual Lexus key casing. I think this one is more secure than that one though.

To complete the job, you have to insert the key "A" into the plastic part "B" to make "C" ( see diagram ). But the slot for "B" is much too small for the insertion. It took me one hour of careful grinding with a Dremel kit with a drill bit to enlarge the slot of "B" enough and not breaking it to fit the Key "A" in. You can do it with a drill too I guess. But of course, the final part looks great and works.

I don't know if other people had this problem but the part where the key and that piece that you put on the key didn't fit I tried both of them since I got the two pack and both of them would not work. The inside of the part that the key goes into is too small the ridges and stuff doesn't make it so you can push the key all the way in so I cannot match up the small hole to put the screw in on a cover. You would probably need to use a file and grind the ridge to make it fit but I don't have any type of tools like that and not really sure if that's going to really solve the problem. So I'm returning it.

Required a major notch out and screw change to use on my Lexus es 300 2003 key fob, and I had to use the original back, but once done it is kind of cool! If you are not talented in this area you may want to re-think.

My original was all taped together because it was cracked and wouldn't stay put. Purchased this is was so easy to switch them and now I dont have to worry about it falling apart on me. Get Product!!
