I got this adjustable closet rod for my child’s closet, and it’s been working really well so far. It’s sturdy enough to hold a good number of clothes without bending, and the adjustable length makes it easy to fit different closet sizes. Installation was pretty simple, but one thing to watch out for is the length of the screws. You’ll want to make sure they’re not longer than the thickness of your closet panels to avoid any damage. Once installed, the rod feels secure and does its job perfectly. Overall, it’s a solid product for the price. If you need an adjustable rod for a smaller closet, this is a great option.

Easy enough to put up by one person and strong enough to hold quite a few clothes. I’m not stretching mine the maximum length but the metal bars seem strong enough that I still wouldn’t doubt their capabilities if your closet was wider.

HIGHLIGHTS: — Adjustable (be aware there is a min and max) — Installation doesn’t make the average person frustrated — Isn’t screwed into the wall as a whole (can be lifted in and out of sockets on sides) — Can bear a lot of weight FYI: you’ll need a drill I moved into a new house and my closet didn’t have a rod. I ordered this one, first measuring the width of my closet to make sure it would fit (it did). It was pretty easy to install, and I’m really bad at this type of stuff, so that means something. I had to borrow my dad’s drill, but besides that it was just a matter of lining it up where I wanted it. Oh and it’s great that you can just lift the rod to remove it. It rests between two sides as opposed to rods that are themselves drilled into the wall. Lastly, it’s very sturdy. Mine is filled end to end (about 3 feet) with shirts and sweaters, literally no room any more, and I don’t even see any sagging in the bar! Granted, since one half of the rod goes inside the other to be adjustable, and my closet isn’t super wide, it basically has double reinforcement and may hold a heavier weight for me than it could fully extended. I don’t know if that’s true, but it’s something to consider. Anyway, I am really happy I got this and definitely recommend it.

These were perfect for my DIY baby closet! They are sturdy and we're easy to install. Pre-drill your holes for sure to make it easier on yourself. I have 2 small things that I didn't like: one of the screws had a metal piece stuck in the top making it useless so I was only able to put 2 screws on that bracket. The extending piece make a lip and catches clothes hangers and doesn't let it glide smoothly, not a huge deal but something to note.

Does not hold up well under weight of clothes. The rod comes in very short pieces that bend under weight. I was unable to use any of it. It might work for a very narrow closet only.

I love this! I hung it in laundry room doorway to line dry my work clothes. It was super easy to install. Looks great and was inexpensive. I bought another one after for inside closet. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
