just a receiver - I'm using my very old pioneer receiver that was attached to my pioneer 6 cd changer player that finally stopped working - this is an awesome replacment cd player for the money and I use mine all the time -

Does it have support for sacd playback?

Stupidly I did not save any of my packaging. In the past stereo units I have purchased never had a problem when new. So all I kept was the original box. This unit s terrible. Most of the functions just randomly do whatever they want. I would suggest a different brand.

What kind of amp do I need.?

Any regular stereo receiver with input jacks for components.
