Love the Cakes, so instant is a great alternative. A little sweeter than the grating the solid cakes, great when you don’t have the time to grate Nd heat milk and do all the work.

If you love hot chocolate you have to try this! Such a wonderful taste! The chocolate and cinnamon together is delicious! The coco comes out smooth and delicious!

have been buying this for years. It is obvious what is in it, a lot of sugar and good flavor for the cold days. A great winter survival food before bed or a great source of energy for the very cold days. We love ice fishing and it sure hits the spot when you need it for the flavor or when your cold.

I've never had authentic Mexican hot cocoa, so I can only compare this against standard American hot cocoa. The first thing I noticed about this product was the smell. The mixed drink smells like someone dropped red hots candy in my cup, a nice combination of cocoa and cinnamon. It tastes chocolatey with a hint of cinnamon - not spicy enough to provide any zip, just flavor. I didn't recognize any other spices while drinking. The mix is sweet (16 gm sugar), but not overly sweet like other cocoa mixes. All in all, I like the mild flavor and it's worth a try at a very affordable price.

I enjoy drinking cups of hot cocoa, and usually keep packages of Caramel-chocolate flavored hot cocoa mixes. I was curious and wanted to know how this Mexican-style hot cocoa mix tasted, and ordered a few packages. I found that the instant cocoa mix dissolved quickly and I really liked the flavor of the spice (cinnamon) as it blended well with the chocolate flavor without leaving any grittiness. I liked it so much that I ordered 5 packages at a time, 3 times in quick succession. I would have ordered much more at a time, however, the seller had a limit of 5 packages per order at the offered price. After making a couple cups of the mix according to directions, I experimented by adding a tablespoon of caramel sauce/syrup to a cup of the hot cocoa, and it was delicious! Then, instead of adding caramel sauce to the cup of hot cocoa, I added some caramel/vanilla creamer into my cups of the hot cocoa. The syrup and the creamer added even more of a rich smoothness to each cup. The caramel flavor blended so well with the chocolate-cinnamon flavor. To summarize, I LOVE this Mexican-style instant hot cocoa mix all by itself, or with the addition of caramel syrup or creamer. NOTE: Some reviews of this cocoa in other forms, noted that it was more difficult to dissolve, so I chose the INSTANT powdered mix, instead, and had no problem in making a smooth tasting cup of delicious cocoa.

Wow, Wow, Wow! Absolutely great tasting hot chocolate! It has the brand “Abuelita’s signature” taste. It’s different from the other nestle brand hot chocolate or the “Swiss hot chocolate” model. This Mexican style hot chocolate tastes great and smells great as well. Nice texture and dissolves absolutely easily as seen in the video. I have a Avalon water machine that makes hot water instantly so I can get this done in under a minute! Makes life easier for sure. If you’re from a Hispanic/Latin background you’ll get a similar taste to the famous “Champurado” hot drink that’s well known. Give it a try if you haven’t yet! It’ll be your new go to hot chocolate, I’m sure!

I purchased this drink for a gift. Disappointed in the price. I found it cheaper at the market. I guess I should have checked there first. As for as the taste my husband loved it. It’s my error not doing a price check comparison.

Delicious and tasty

This is a perfect instant hot chocolate that tastes exactly like the beverage they serve at my local Mexican restaurant. It is great to drink as a 3 PM pick-me-up when working from home. :)

I have purchased this delicious drink in the USA, whilst on a trip. Bought it in a regular supermarket in Boise, Idaho. It cost very little. Roll on years later - I searched Amazon and found it! Although I paid over $30CAD (sigh - I know, but I yearned for that tasty treasure) when I received it, the box was a bit bashed up as it had been packaged in a polythene bag rather than even a padded one or box. But this is the REAL kicker: the company advertising this, said, "pack of 12". When I received it, the package said "8". Big sigh. Why? Expensive for 12, but I'm 4 short. Not fair. I'm frustrated by the deception. Other than that, this, in my humble opinion, is one of the best tasting hot chockers I've ever experienced (if you like cinnamon, that is).

This description clearly says this is a pack of 12 - which is still expensive at the price. Be warned the product is only a pack of 8. Overpriced and mislabeled. I submitted something already about this to Amazon, but the product description still says Pack of 12 which is not true.
