Awesome product

I like the fact that it is a simple razor, easy to load and clean. The butterfly systems works really well and it does what it is supposed to do. The only problem I feel is that the blade exposure isnt much so I have to angle it in some places to cut. Otherwise it is solid. If you are thinking of switching to a double edge blade razor then this is a good product. Value for money and comfort. I recommend it

This has a plastic body with a metal SS butterfly top. The plastic quality and finish is as good as you will find, with a fab finish and weight. Overall its a very high quality product. I bought it as my first razor to experiment with wet shaving and set my hand before I upgrade to a top quality all-metal best available razors that cost 4-5 times this Feather razor... which was a great idea. But after using this for a few months, I love this one so much that I may not bother upgrading. It feels good in the hand, and the weight distribution is good - slightly top heavy, which gives great shaves effortlessly. The butterfly mechanism is great too. Basically, this is a top quality japanese product at a very good price. Go for it!!

Fantastic one but inside blade is not good compared with Gillette blades and real value for Money

Brought this razor after hearing tons of appreciation, from all over the world. Yes, this particular razor is very popular for its smooth and easy shave. Which is quite true to an extent. However, the shaving it offers is ideal for someone who uses it for that one to three days stubble. Anything more like a thicker, denser beard, it looses it's magic. Just won't work. Cause it ain't aggressive enough. You end up insanely trying to scrape off that remaining beard, wondering the whole time as to why it costs a 1000 rupees and can't clean shave a week's beard! Another, it just doesn't look or feel like a 1000 something rupee razor, the plastic maybe of good quality, but it's still plastic and plastic is cheap. If it falls in the wrong angles, it may crack or break apart. Just doesn't have that weight that you expect from a good-quality-feel razor. In my opinion, a decent weight would assist in getting a better shave. Each time I pick it up, I wonder where that 1000 rupee is in that plastic piece (the engineering? Of course, yet..). Everything else is fine, it does live upto it's reputation of smooth and easy shave as long as you have a two-day or less beard. Doesn't hurt your skin at all (very helpful if you shave daily) I'd be the happiest if I could buy this razor for 200-350 rupees. Recommend to others? Nah.. I wouldn't. Go for it, if you wanna feel first hand what the praises are all about, and if you have more money and wondering how to spend it or if you're addicted to Amazon shopping..

I started double edge shaving with an inexpensive Wilkinson Sword, about six months ago. I bought this razor as Feather razor blade seem to be highly rated by Youtube experts. I love double edge shaving and I find I'm getting a lot less irritation. I was going to buy half a dozen DE razors over time, of the more well known classic razors, to find one which one suited me best. However I have found the Feather razor to more than meet my needs. For some reason, I am finding the blades last longer and don't seem to need replacement almost ever, although I do change them as I love the butterfly system. With the Wilkinson I was only getting about three shaves from a blade, although It was a good starter razor for me. I would highly recommend the Feather razor. Its lightweight, has good grip, and blade changing is effortless. I will never go back to Mach type cartridge blades. They are over hyped, over priced and inferior to traditional shaving methods. Although I would recommend finding some instructional tutorials on Youtube if you are new to it, as DE shaving is a technique led shaving method. DE shaving with a Boar brush, cream from Old Bond Street and plenty of practice does take longer but it is a calming experience; meditation even. Try it if you haven't before, you will understand exactly.

Un Novato, generalmente atraído por el precio.., y tras cortarse varias veces dejaran la maquinilla o mas bien el afeitado tradicional... tener un ángulo de exposición de 0.73mm frente (R89 con 0.45mm), y no siendo conocedor del punto equilibrio o balance de la maquinilla derivado del poco peso..., se puede aplicar mas presión de lo debido ... ZASS y mucho más una cuchilla de la marca. Por bien de todos, Vamos a tener mucho cuidado con los alegres y ligeros recomendaciones a los novatos. Hay muchas maquinillas originales y/o imitaciones orientales con menores ángulo de exposición y mayores peso y mangos más cortos o regulares.. (que son lo mas recomendable para un recién incorporado al ritual de afeitado tradicional) y se pueden encontrar en Amazon. Dicho esto, el Feather popular es un equipo para experimentados , quienes quieren vivir un extasiáis de un buen apurado sin usar un "Slant", con unos cuchillos de la misma marca. Lo habitual en el sector es, un fabricante de maquinillas, amplia su portfolio con Jabones, ungüentos, Brochas y cuchillas de otros fabricantes, a veces productos de medio porte y lo renombran con su marca para contentar y no perder sus clientes... en mayoría de los casos Aprendiz de todo y maestro de Nada. Aquí, en cambio el mejor fabricante de cuchillos amplia su port folio con solo dos maquinillas, Popular (económico, es una maquinilla para su taquilla en trabajo, viajes.. NO, ya que desde 11S los Aeropuertos han declarado guerra contra las cuchillas!) y As_D2 ( como el mas alto gama de mercado) para ofrecer las mejores resultados y imprimir magnificencia de sus cuchillas. Por lo tanto estamos frente a una practica algo desconocido en el mercado convencional de maquinillas. Los Feather están diseñados y pensadas para funcionar con sus propios cuchillos aunque se les pueda usar con cualquier otra marca pero no con el mismo resultado. En los años 60, Club de los usuarios de "Austin Mini", tenían una pegatina adherida al maletero de sus Minis... " Mi segundo coche es un Rolls Royce" Pues Bien! mi "segunda maquinilla es un AS_D2" .. 10 veces , mas caro que mi "Popular". El peso de una maquina es una opinion subjetiva versus resultados de afeitado, si no, todo el mundo compraría un camion para los viajes o buscar los niños al cole y ninguno un deportivo y /O lo barberos usarían una DAGA o Espada medieval para afeitar a sus clientes! 😄 Casi un centímetro menos en el mango y 60 gramos más de peso en AS-D2, cambia sustancialmente el comportamiento y el resultado ( sin ser uno mejor que el otro sin referirnos al detalles de material y Durabilidad y destino)... con la misma barba, Jabón y Mano que la manejo... y sin duda la Tecnica! 😉 No soy de Feather ni colaboro con amazon, si no un simple cliente y amante del afeitado tradicional.... Así que, no cobro comisiones ni me regalan las cuchillas! Recomendable y un excelente Calidad/Precio.

I shaved with this tonight, I transcended. I used to use another brand of safety razor along with the Feather blades. Big mistake. Those blade were meant to be wielded by the most nimble warrior that is this razor. Light, agile, fast, sharp. Not a cut, nor a scrape, nor a stray. Not only that but I will save hundreds of dollars thanks to this adept tool. I cannot recommend enough.

Fungerar bra för mig med lite känslig hy, men kräver lite annan rakteknik än engångshyvlarna.
