Alright - I'm on about my sixth set of these.... the first time, I reviewed them as 5-stars. The last time I reviewed them as 1-star - because they had changed their clips. I loved that these curlers are compact, heat up fast and came with clips that don't leave a kink in fine hair. I hated when they went to a new cheaper version of clips that made you play the "find the clip and curler" game as the clip flew out of your head after less than 2 minutes. I bought my latest set when even though they didn't take up my challenge (see last review) they introduced j-clips that addressed my complaints (as well as many on here). I would actually give these a 10-star rating now. Great set of curlers for travel or everyday - with clips that match the curlers performance!So, I previously gave these curlers a very-high ranking. I've used them for years, and no matter which other ones I try, I always end up going back to these. I just bought another replacement set.... and since these, because of a change in the clips, are no longer the same product, I am adjusting my review accordingly.Here is my challenge to whomever in Remingtion aisre now responsible for these... Gather up some women in your company and go into a meeting room. Bring plenty of these curler sets in for them to use (no need to plug them in or heat them up - that part works fine). Now, have them curl their hair in them, if you can get 5 woman who can keep all these in their hair with the provided fasteners for 5 minutes I'll adjust this review again.Here's the great part, if my experience is a sample,they won't just fall out or not hold -they will FLY out. Pins will jettison themselves across the room and under pieces of furniture, curlers will go rolling across the floor, and as they pick people scramble for pins and curlers, the rest of them will do the same. I call it the "Chase a curler game")I know every trick in the book for keeping these type of fasteners in - and these are just too small for the curlers. Seems like someone made a poor cost-cutting decision or you aren't getting the fasteners you were promised. Either way - good curlers without a way to fasten them aren't worth anything.Hope you pick up the challenge - I'd love to see it on YouTube.ORIGINAL REVIEWI've owned a couple of sets of these. (They tend to look worn out from regular use every couple of years and I replace them - even though they're still working fine). In fact, I bought one set just to keep in my travel bag - and replaced my regular "big home set" with these, as well. They heat up very quickly and leave a long lasting curl (even if you leave them in just a short time). They are particularly great for fine hair, and these have better clips than the last set I bought. (These wire clips don't leave a kink in your curl like the plastic "clip all the way around the curl" type does.) Really, a great value and great product all around!

This is a great set of hot rollers. They’re easy to pack on my motorcycle or traveling on a plane. Now that my hair is a little longer which it’s past the shoulders. I did order a second set and what’s nice about the second says you have enough rollers, but you can split them up. Nothing really big and bulky to pack. I definitely recommend this set of rollers. You can handle them, but they’re still hot enough to curl your hair and their compact.

I love how compact these are, and how I can easily take them with me. They give nice soft curls which I love.

I have thick wavy (not in a good way) hair cut in a modern Sassoon bob, longer on the sides & shorter in the back. My hair is way below chin length, but doesn't quite reach my shoulders, still a sizable amt of hair to manage. My hair doesn't look good just air dried or blown dry, it must be styled or flat ironed. But, for the hot, humid summer I was looking for lower maintenance, less damage to my hair & a way not subject my hair to a lot of flat ironing. I'd never used hot rollers in my life. But, they seemed an option: a head full of longer loose curls. I didn't know if they would be a solution, so chose this inexpensive set as an experiment.ProsThey heat rapidly, in the 90 seconds as promised in the instructions, so your time isn't wasted.They're definitely hot enuf to curl your hair, but not so hot that you can't easily handle them. No safety issues here, your fingers won't get burned. The sides stay cool, so very easy to handle.They keep their heat for about 10-15 min, so do curl nicely & also impart shine & bounce. Because of my natural wave, I only had to keep them in my hair for 5-7 min.The ten rollers were enuf for my big thick head of hair.The package is well designed: the rollers & metal pins all have a place in the soft plastic bag. The size is small, fantastic for traveling, very portable & a space saver for those who don't have much storage room in their home.You just plug the bag in & wait 90 sec. Easy!The price is incredible: $14.95.Push down on each roller till it snaps into place, then that will insure each roller will heat up.ConsYou need to physically wind your hair around these rollers as there aren't many teeth or any Velcro to hold your hair to the rollers. There are a few "teeth" on the rollers & the hair does hold, just wind your hair around the rollers.The metal clips work &hold the hair in place but you do need to experiment w/a few different angles to insert them. After 3 rollers, I found the angle that worked for me: I insert diagonally, cross wise, from the bottom of the roller up vs insert the pin from top down.SummaryI'm very pleased w/these. I may buy a 2nd set, so I have even more to use if my hair gets longer. After I got them, I noticed they were also in my local Target for a similar price. They would also make a terrific gift.

These get very hot, but worked perfectly for my trip to the EU. Just need a converter for the plug. Smaller than I anticipated but still worked great.

Curled, but burt portions of my hair.I Would not recommend this product.

I love these curlers and have been using this brand and style of rollers them for about 12 years. When my older set wore out, I purchased this new set and they are still manufactured at the same quality level. These rollers are easy to use and store; and I can travel with them since they are very compact. I would not buy any other brand or style of rollers and was thrilled that I could purchase them again, all these years later.
