Q: If i am in between sizes should i go up or down for best fit? i am normally an 8.5 us men’s. so would i be a 41 or 42 eu?

The Haflinger GZL clogs in a 42 are WAY TOO large for my size 9 feet. Weird, becaause the Haflinger all felt wool slippers in 42 are a snu, perfect fit for me. So, I recommend that you go for a 41 in the clog. Good luck!

The shoe never felt comfortable at all.

Q: How do you clean these? The inside - not the outside. Can you wash them?

I use my wet dry vacuum with attachment regularly (lots of dog hair, dirt, sand build up) as they are my inside outside and go everywhere shoe, also cold water microfiber cloth followed by an enzyme cleaner like bac out or any foot smell spray if they get really bad. I always leave them in front of the fan to dry fast if they get too wet. I’ve worn multiple pairs for over 20 years and they are some of my favorite shoes.
