For some reason, it's difficult to go into a store and find 75 watt equivalent lightbulbs. Apparently, 60 watt is more popular. We like 75 watt because it is easy to read by without lighting up the whole room too brightly or being harsh to sit under. It also provides a pleasant light for tasks and that brightens up an area in a subdued way. These do the trick. And we were happy to find them on Amazon for a great price.

While I like and use LED light bulbs in my home, there are always some statements that seem misleading to me. When LED lightbulbs first came out I purchased 2 at a price of $6.79 each. That was in the year 2020. Neither lasted for 10 years. While the actual LED might last for 10 years, the electronics contained in the bulb's bases are the LED's weak point. I have LED lightbulbs throughout my house and estimate that they typically last for about 3 - 4 years. That is still a good value because of the electricity saved. When purchasing LED light bulbs there are 2 specifications that should be investigated: 1) The light output, measured in lumens. The more lumens the more light. It doesn't matter if it is a "60 watt equivalent" or "uses 15 watts". The actual measure of light emitted is measured in lumens, not watts, voltage, etc. 2) The color of light output is measured in degrees kelvin - K. A light rated at 2500K will be somewhat yellow and more like daylight. As the number increases the light color shifts towards pure white at around 6000K.

Bought these for the first time a year ago, installed outside (sometimes at -25c) and inside. They still work ok a year later. I cannot say anything about longevity since it has been only a year since my first purchase but so far so good.

Nice warm and bright bulbs. They dim very smoothly too.

The light coming from them is great; not neon-ish. Nice, amber light. However, they are not dimmable at all; they have to be either off or at full electricity, otherwise they literally flash like a strobe light. I unfortunately cannot use them with any of my dimmer switches (which is almost all of the switches in the entire house), and will have to continue the search for different ones.
