This cord is a 2 wire fax machine cord for an hp all-in-one hp printer/scanner/fax. You will, trust me, have all kinds of trouble trying to fax without it because for hp, regular phone cords won't do.. None of the brick and mortar stores have it. Their sales staff didn't even know one of these existed or that there was anything different about this one compared to a regular phone cord. Thank goodness for Amazon.

I lost the original HP phone line connection for faxing when we recently moved. The printer said that I must use the original line for the fax part to function properly. I thought I was smarter than them (I'm not), so sent my hubby to Walmart to get one. They didn't have the original HP line, so he bought a regular one, and guess what?? It doesn't work. So I ordered the HP line from Amazon and it was very simple to hook up and my fax works correctly now everytime.

The exact cord I needed in order to connect and use the fax feature on my HP printer. Couldn’t find this cord in any local “big box” store. Shame on HP for not disclosing that you need a specific cord if you replace the cord sold with the product! After much trial and error and internet research, this cord did the trick!!!

This 10 foot long, two wire phone cable is used for fax machines that won't work with a regular 4 wire phone cord. It works fine with my HP Office Jet 8600 and the cord is in fact manufactured by HP.

This is an HP specific product. I don’t know why, but HP uses a different configuration in their twisted pair phone lines and a regular twisted pair phone line will not work.

This was the only phone cord that would enable us to use our HP all in one printer to send/receive faxes. Standard 4 line phone cords wouldn’t work!

Faxed perfectly with my HP OfficeJet 8625 printer. 10 foot length just perfect to reach from printer to phone jack. Will save lots of money no longer having to run to Staples to fax.
