Fluke for the first part I ordered? But this one is great!
I ordered a replacement gimble two weeks ago and received it. Installed it two days later and had a good day with it. Suddenly while in the air I received the gimbal overload error again. Landed safely and restarted the mavic - overload. Tried to auto calibrate the gimbal and it got up to 80% and froze. I uninstalled the gimbal and noticed some wear on it - was thinking that it wasn't original but used, so I started a return on the item and left a 1 star rating. Amazon offered a replacement shipped and well I went for it instead. This one looks original, not refurbished or used and is working great. So perhaps I just got shipped a wrong part? Not sure, but this gimbal is great.

Arrived and was ready to install
I had my first crash with my drone a week before I received this replacement piece. I had used my drone since 2018 and had a bad flight at night with too many trees nearby. Item arrived after I had stripped my drone to identify the pieces to replace. Installation was pretty easy and smooth. Once I started the drone up after installing the camera and mounting the gimbal to the vibration bracket we were set to go and all went well. Bought the extra 3 year insurance as a just in case, but hope to not have to use it.

Great replacement gimbal
So this is a story review thanks to my stupidity. I had broken my gimbal mount on my Mavic Pro while on vacation. Thanks to amazon and fast shipping, I was able to get the gimbal mount replaced in no time. The problem was when I put my Mavic back together, I put the mount back in upside down. When I turned the Mavic back on to test out the mount, well the gimbal got stuck and burned out. This is where I recommend that if you are like me and have no business taking apart expensive electronics, DON'T! If you do, you will end up spending a lot of money fixing your mistakes. Anyhow, I was trying to find the cheapest way to fix my mess up and this gimbal did the trick. Just make sure that you have a little screwdriver set and a small parts tray so you do not lose the tinny screws. Also, be mindful of the small ribbon cables located in the housing. I also broke my forward sensors because I was not paying attention and ripped the cable going to the sensors. Again, if you don't know what you are doing, don't do it. Or at least watch some YouTube videos before breaking apart your $1000 toy. Lucky this gimbal was nowhere near as expensive as a new one and I was able to get my Mavic back in the air. I have not had any further problems and the gimbal works just as well as the factory one.

Overall Happy, Should Be More Clearly Marked as Refurbished
First, this was a good value, exactly what I needed, and works great after the swap. All in, I’m happy. As others have noted, there are some things everyone should be aware of. Photos show broken OEM gimbal on the right, refurbished gimbal I received from this purchase on the left. The plastic components all appear to be OEM. The flex cable is definitely different than OEM, but functionally worked great, though there are some sharp creases not present in the OEM. The signal cable is either OEM or indistinguishable from OEM. The screws had a different finish, so probably not OEM, and also lacked the thread-locking compound present with OEM. There is a thermal compound present where the camera module meets the gimbal that was just sort of half-present on the one I received. No problem, I just scooped some from the broken OEM gimbal to have enough on this refurbished gimbal. It seems very clear that the vendor takes broken gimbals, replaces the bad parts with aftermarket, reassembles them, and sells them here. I’m totally fine with this and like I said, the value was so much better than buying all new OEM.

Worked Great!!!
Was getting the gimbal error and tried replacing just the cable (going the cheap route first) to no avail. So I then decided to spend the money and just replace the entire gimbal. Best decision ever! Quicker and easier to do than replacing the cable. Lesson learned, if this happens again I'm just buying this gimbal again!

Never worked right - then quit
I'm an experienced rc and drone builder/ user and have rebuilt many gimbalsI thought it would be easier to buy this complete - wrong- it had issues right away, wondered all over, the cable didn't appear installed correctly- after a lot of fiddling the only way the camera worked was switching to fpv mode in app otherwise it had seizuresThat was 3 uses - then seizures and it quit - got really hot in the gimbal motors as well

Make sure to recalibrate the gimble
After the gimble flat cable was broken we tried to replace just that. It requires really small and delicate hands. After breaking the cable we decided to go with this to replace everything avoiding the whole small cable frustration. The only thing to remember is that once you replace your old one with the new one you have to recalibrate it. Otherwise it will not perform correctly.

Difficult repair; Good Product.
Bought this for a broken Gimbal (left the cover off in backpack) and was told by DJI rep that repair would be $400-600. Insane.Decided to try the DIY route and after showing the guy at the DJI store this part was told it looked like a selvedge part from another drone as there was some scuffs on the surface, however I tried the repair anyway and after 6 or so hours of screwing around (mostly my fault, I'd never opened the Mavic before and encountered a lot of stiff plastic clips and special screw heads) was pleasantly surprised to find this Gimbal works perfectly.Ran calibrations with the DJI app, the PC sensor calibration app etc and had no issues. Like new.If you're up for a challenge I'd whole heatedly recommend this repair. It's not easy but when the official DJI route is the cost of a new drone its well worth it.
