Essentials Yoga Mat

Dissapointed. My hands slip down during downwards facing dog. Had to return it

The recommendation is to wipe down the mat with water to generate the stickiness. It did this 3 times but still no good for down-dogs because my hands were slipping, eventually abandoned the mat for yoga and gone back to my old reliable but dirty and falling apart yoga mat. Now use this mat for floor work in other classes, but it too thin really for that sort of workout. On the positive sit, the mat is nice and thin and firm to aid balance exercises

This GAIA Yoga mat has a great ‘grippy’ surface that does not become slippery. I started with a thicker foam mat and those thick ones are potentially a bit dangerous as they are slippery when doing Yoga moves. You could slip and hurt yourself with those cheaper thick foam ones. Gaia thin ones are one of the BEST you can get. You can use a cheaper one under it if you are outside on uneven ground. Always have the Gaia next to your skin.

This mat is ideal for everyday use. The thickness is perfect for those whose knees and hands get sore when on the floor. It is also longer than the average length of a yoga mat.

Achei esse tapete Gaiam muito bom: leve, agarra bem e tem um ótimo custo/benefício. É o meu quarto tapete e fiquei muito satisfeita.
