Bates Footwear Men's Code 6.2 8" Side Zip

I’ve had the original, it was good but wore out fast. The new (6.2) has a different design but seems to be the same good old boot. Has a slim appearance without looking like big goofy/clunky boots with slim uniform pants.Side Zip is super convenient so you can prelace em and just throw em on/off but still offers good ankle support. Good idea to replace the original insoles with a good set of insoles, ones they come are thin and flat.

- They look great as far as work boots go- Super light for their size- Super comfy: I have mild plantar fasciitis and did NOT have to put in custom soles- Based on reviews, they're durable but I've only had them for ~a week or two so we'll see

I was looking for a boot for daily wear to work. I prefer tactical boots because I have had issues with plantar fasciitis in the past, and tactical boots are better support than my traditional western boots. I have been very impressed with the Bates boots, so far. They are comfortable, easy to get on and off, and comfortable to wear all day, even in Houston, where it is often warm and humid. They are also good looking, with a slightly more slender profile than my previous tactical boots. Overall, I would rate them highly. The fit and finish were excellent.

I wear a lot of boots, I’ve never had a pair I could just put on and be super comfortable. Well these boots surpassed my expectations. I’ve worn them 3 times now, about 12 hours each time. They’ve been incredibly comfortable and not heavy. The first day they were a bit stiff but loosened up pretty quickly. Everything appears to be holding together, they look like they are built to last. I’ll update if I ever run into a problem, but so far I love them.

Great boots, these are actually lighter than my 4D3GTXs and have better traction in the snow and ice. The side zip is so quick and easy. Not insulated that I know of, and my feet have never gotten cold with wool Sox.Love these Will definitely be buying another pair! I did use two sets of insoles to fill the volume of the boot for my feet, without this the laces joined together too close leaving a crease in the boot, easy fix and more cushion as well.

These are the best looking boots I have ever owned. I have gotten compliments from many people asking me what type of boots they are. I'm pretty sure I made some people go out and buy a pair. They are pretty comfortable too and that's that I work long hours on feet doing foot patrols. Get custom insoles though because the stock ones are a bit rough. I use two soles in each shoe. A shorter curved gel heel support that I put under a full size insole with more gel support.

This is a great boot! My third purchase. It is very comfortable and lite, yet durable.

Ok boots I would not buy again
