Excellent quality and keep your fingers free from most of the pastel dust. Recommend a good quality sharpener to use with them.

There’s a pencil for every surface.These are really awesome.When I opened the tin and saw the care that was taken , I was impressed.A soft tissue gently placed on them.They really are soft and yet durable. I just got them so I’m still them out and comparing them to other pencils that I already have. I wish I had gotten these sooner. You owe it to yourself to give them a try.

I've been using these for the past few weeks and am very happy with the quality so far. They've sharpened very easily with a craft knife and sandpaper, and they work well with my soft pastel set.My only compliant is that when they arrived, a handful of the colors had split tips, so the pastels were broken in half from the tips to the top of the wood base. I know it's not that big of a deal to remove a few centimeters from the top, and the packaging in the tin box is designed to mitigate breakage at that fragile point, but I saved up for awhile to buy the set, so it was a little disappointing to "waste" some of the pencils before I was able to use them. Otherwise, I'm very happy with the set and hope to use them a lot.

These Carbathello Pastel Chalk pencils are just what I needed. And they were a great price! I have used another brand of chalk pencils, but this set is much more vibrant in color and smooth to use. I look forward to using them often in my projects.

The pencils are soft enough to leave color on the drawing. Harder pastel pencils dig into the glazes an fixatives that I had sprayed or brushed on the picture.

Love these so far. They’re actually soft and have great pigment to them. I’ve always had trouble with “soft pastel pencils” because none of them were actually soft or had some sort of wax in them. These are the first detail pastel pencil I’ve liked and get the results I want. Blending is a lil tricky but just needs some practice.

Great pencil set! Comes in a nice metal box for storage and protection and the lid is not difficult to open. I have purchased the 24 pencil set and wanted more colors. This set has many variations of color! Easily blended with finger, sponge etc. rubs off easily on flat paper and wood so fixative or polyurethane is necessary on wood. I used light fixative which made colors bolder, but after drying the color moves around or comes off slightly. The picture did not change too much but I worry over time it could rub off. That’s why I suggest only using these in items which will not be used after completing. I made a project board with a design in these pencils, I will have to coat with poly before I can use it.
