Microsoft Office Excel 2007 for Dummies

The 2007 version of Excel is all I need. I was surprised to find this book still available. Used but in very good condition. Total cost about $4. Then I saw a new copy at B&N for ~$20. Glad I got this one. Only 4 stars because Dummies books are not that explicit, but sufficient for my purposes. I was a dummy in Excel, but now reasonably competent for my simple requirements.

I was having trouble, with my home computer software, making spreadsheets for my church, for guest visitation for Worship.I found the book "Excell 2007 for Dummies" on Amazon.com and it was cheaper than I could purchase it at my local computer or book stores. Being 64 years of age I am computer illiterate, especially with office software. With the purchase of this book (which came in perfect condition, and quickly) I can find the shortcuts and how-to's and answers to help solve some of my problems with spreadsheets.

I purchased this for my wife who is just learning Excel. She is treasurer for her ladies golf group. I introduced her excel to manage the money. She likes the program and wanted to learn more. I had a copy of an older version of Excel for Dummies which was my bible. Needed the newer version since I currently use Excel 2007. The wife likes the book.

Too "dumb" for me. Have many "Dummies" books. This one has too small print and figures for me to see. Laid in my Library 'til now. When I bought my Black Diamond head-lamp, thought my problem was solved. Uh-Uh. Still can't define the figures in this book. Will probably give it away and leave excel to the "experts". Would still recommend to the studious type that has good vision because I have found "Dummies" books very good and will get people "up and running" for whatever topic they need assistance.

I took an Excel class about 100 years ago, so this is a great book to have on hand to help me when I cannot remember how to do something. I do not use Excel much, so my mind kind of grows cobwebs in between uses, so I appreciate having this to fall back on. Like all of the dummies books, it is written in an easy-to-understand style. I am very happy.

The product was shipped and delivered on time and was exactly as seller described. Unfortunately, I have an older version of Excel and thought I was ordering the right book. Not the sellers fault. I guess next time I order a book to help me with a computer problem, I will first look for a copy of a book that is titled "Figuring out which book I need for dummies'. Other then that the transaction went very well.

I had only Excel 2000 previously with OS Windows XP and now have Windows 7 and Excel 2007, which was installed on my computer at work recently. It is important to take upgrades one step at a time not to get frustrated. This is a good step. Plenty is different to digest at a slower pace than thrusting yourself up against Excel 2013 or something. And '07 comes with glossy pictures too! I recommend it to anyone!

I needed this for my old office system. I had never used a spreadsheet before. The Dummies books are usually complete and well editited. Howeve the completeness can be a drawback. They cover all of the aspects of an area at once which creats a serious load for the beginer. Seperating the the primary use parts from the details would be a help.

I found the book very comprehesive and gave a lot of information, all realy a bit to much for me as i only wantedvery basic guidance to get me started on simple spread sheets.I got feed up trying to read the different sections and turned to You Tube to watch a couple of information clipson setting up spread sheets, brilliant.I now have turned back to the book, to fine tune and inhance my spread sheets.The two seem to work for me.

Does exactly what it says. Ideal for those of us who haven't got a clue what we're doing without dumbing it down too much. It is a thorough book, and I learned an awful lot by reading it. I had just upgraded my Office account, and even though I'm on a more up-to-date version of Excel, I was still able to use this book to help navigate my way around.

Purchased as reference book for as yet undeveloped computer skills but still within reach of the desk top shelves just in case the urge to make a what if analysis reoccurs.
